Kim Kardashian joins the cast of American Horror Story

Filming on the twelfth season of American Horror Story begins in May 2023 and the set will feature Kim Kardashian alongside Emma Roberts, who returns to the series, and Matt Czuchry aka Logan from Gilmore Girls, who makes his AHS debut. The SKIMS founder made the announcement of her participation herself with a post on Instagram, a short teaser in which she tells her 352 million followers that she will star alongside Emma Roberts and reveals the title of the new season: Delicate.

The show's creator, Ryan Murphy, and Kim are friends. He was reportedly so impressed with her performance on Saturday Night Live in 2021 that he considered adding her to the cast of the cult series, telling The Hollywood Reporter:

«Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family. Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done».

Initial rumours suggest that the role Kardashian has been cast in was written specifically for her, but it has been kept top secret until now, as has the season's plot in general. All that is known is that the new episodes will be written by Halley Feiffer and based on the novel Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine, which will be published by Sourcebooks in August. The book, described as "a feminist update of Rosemary's Baby", is a gripping thriller about a woman who is convinced that a sinister figure is doing everything possible to ensure her pregnancy never happens.

In the past Kim has appeared in films, for example Ocean's 8, and starred in several TV series such as How I Met Your Mother, 30 Rock e 2 Broke Girls, Csi: New York and Drod Dead Diva, but the role in American Horror Story will definitely be her most important and challenging role. Will this be the start of a new successful career for Kardashian? Her fans hope so and according to some sources, Kim is very excited to be starring in AHS and working with "some of the most talented people in one of the most iconic franchises". Apparently, she was also "a bit nervous to take on such an important project, [but] she knew it was something she couldn't pass up." We are curious to see what role she will play in AHS 12 and how she will do as an actress.
