Every Wednesday, a new episode of the third season of The Mandalorian is available on Disney+. However, the new and sixth episode holds a very special surprise, a cameo from two actors and the debut of a pop star on the small screen. They are Christopher Llloyd as Commissioner Helgait, a Separatist who has idealised the character of Count Dooku, and most notably Jack Black and Lizzo, who play the rulers of Plazir-15.

In the episode, Din (new world "daddy" Pedro Pascal), Grogu and Bo-Katan Kryze follow a group of Mandalorian mercenaries to Plazir-15, an independent planet that is not part of the New Republic. Here the trio find themselves in the opulent royal palace to meet the charming rulers, who are - surprise - none other than Jack Black and Lizzo. The unprecedented couple stop them before they can reach the mercenaries and their leader Axe Woves, asking them to help them in exchange for recognition of Mandalore as a sovereign state with malfunctioning former Imperial droids. Notably, Singer, whose appearance is somewhat reminiscent of the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland, plays Dutch, a warm and welcoming woman in love with Captain Bombardier, a reformed ex-Imperial who has the bearded and sympathetic face of Black. Her most tender cameo moments? Lizzo feeding and knighting Baby Yoda. Fans of the series and the singer went nuts, but that was almost to be expected, as the singer is a self-confessed fan of Star Wars and projects based around the saga. Remember when she dressed up as Baby Yoda for Halloween 2021?
