Kate Middleton still dominates the wedding scene Have you noticed it, even outside of Pinterest?
If it were up to who is writing this article, no one would get married anymore. Or rather, all weddings would be small, colorful, and hipster. This is clearly a contradictory opinion, since the data says otherwise. In fact, they say the opposite. Monsoon, in fact, conducted research on Pinterest (a reference point for global wedding planning, with 8 out of 10 brides using it) to reveal which were the most famous and most sought after weddings on the platform as an inspiration for newlyweds around the world. The result isn't surprising, but it's a bit disappointing. Especially if we think about the Gen Z ideal of marriage, which is more relaxed and less grand.
The 10 most saved celebrity weddings on Pinterest
Dominating the absolute ranking of the most viral weddings on the platform are the British royal family. In first place are Prince William and Kate Middleton with their iconic 2011 wedding in Westminster Abbey. The two were able to collect more than 100,000 Pins and dedicated bulletin boards. They were followed a very short distance away by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (94,281 Pin). The minimal lace dress designed by Alexander McQueen for Kate and the sculptural Givenchy creation worn by Meghan continue to be the supreme reference point for the contemporary bridal look. Rounding out the podium are Ciara and Russell Wilson (28,925 Pins), who in 2016 exchanged promises in the picturesque Peckforton Castle in England, with the singer-songwriter wrapped in a fairytale Roberto Cavalli Couture dress.
The ranking
Kate Middleton & Prince William (2011) 100,6962
Meghan Markle & Prince Harry (2018) 94,2813
Ciara & Russell Wilson (2016) 28,9254
Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck (2022) 28,6325
Princess Eugenie & Jack Brooksbank (2018) 18,5316
Princess Beatrice & Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi (2020) 13,4377
Nina Agdal & Logan Paul (2025) 13,0918

Beyoncé & Jay-Z (2008) 11,93610
Priyanka Chopra & Nick Jonas (2018) 10,526
The greats excluded from the Top 10
Surprisingly, some of the most talked about marriages in pop culture in recent years remain outside the top 10. This is the case of Justin and Hailey Bieber's 2019 wedding, standing at an altitude of 5,911 pins, but also of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's pharaonic event in Florence in 2014 (4,991 Pin). It is interesting to note that Kim still exceeds the opulent wedding signed by Dolce & Gabbana by more than 2,900 saves by her sister Kourtney Kardashian with Travis Barker in Portofino in 2022, which totaled 2,054 Pins.
Top 5: The eternal myth of Royal Wedding
If you restrict the field exclusively to royal ceremonies without time limits, the absolute primacy undoubtedly belongs to Lady Diana and King Charles III. More than forty years after their 'yes' in 1981 at St Paul's Cathedral, the majestic silk taffeta wedding dress and the record train of more than 7 meters designed by Elizabeth and David Emanuel continue to dominate Pinterest with 187,540 Pins and dedicated bulletin boards, demonstrating how the true myth of the time is immune to the passing of fashions.
