We had a talk with CIAOMONDO about Digital Mindfulness Here's how it went

Saturday morning, the beginning of autumn. The sun is shining over Milan, and the heat feels unusually warm for the season. It’s the penultimate day of the Wellness Week with CIAOMONDO, and nss G-Club is part of it too. At 2 p.m., inside the 21 House of Stories spaces, we hosted a talk on Digital Mindfulness in collaboration with Licia Florio, where together - and with strong participation from the audience - we explored a topic very close to our hearts: online presence.

The guests of the CIAOMONDO talk during Milan’s Wellness Week

Licia Florio, wellness curator, creative entrepreneur, movement director, co-founder of CIAOMONDO and founder of the Licia Florio brand, Alice Manfroni, founder of Here After essential oils, wellness consultant with a passion for astrology, and Ethan Lara, a queer Italo-Brazilian artist, producer and author based in Milan, joined the conversation. Together, these three voices of the contemporary social scene discussed how they navigate the digital sphere - how they manage the balance between online and offline, between social media for work and for personal life, and how they find ways to disconnect from a space that is so creative and inspiring, yet holds such destructive potential - from doom scrolling to constant comparison and a general loss of focus.

What is Digital Mindfulness?

There are many ways to exist online - as active users (using social media for work, branding, or promotion) or as passive ones. Our attention is our currency of exchange. Being mindful online means understanding who we are to fully grasp how we show up digitally - without becoming fragmented - and choosing to redirect our energy toward something we find meaningful and constructive, something that, simply put, does more good than harm, whatever that means to us. The talk’s conclusion? Open-ended, just the way we like it. The audience offered reflections on the balance between creation and promotion, the dynamics of comparison, and the fear of judgment. But there was also a positive note - the bright side of social media, which often sparks careers and allows people to stay informed and connect.

What is CIAOMONDO? Inside the 2025 Edition

The Milano Wellness Week by CIAOMONDO 2025 has just come to a close. From October 6 to 12, it turned the city into a widespread laboratory of well-being, energy, and connection, with over 120 free events spanning meditation, movement, sound healing, art, and food. With the patronage of the City of Milan and Milano4mentalhealth, this year’s edition - themed Energy - explored the bond between body, mind, and collective connection, bringing together brands, artists, schools, and wellness professionals. The main sponsor, UniSalute, presented Energia, a free pocket-sized magazine designed to replace the smartphone, an invitation to disconnect and reconnect with oneself, a daily wellness companion through breath, movement, and transformation.
