Gucci presents its 2020 Gift Giving campaign

An 80's office Christmas party

Gucci presents its 2020 Gift Giving campaign An 80's office Christmas party

Three, two, one. Gucci Christmas party starts. When the clock strikes five, the desks turn into a dance floor, the walls are filled with decorations, glitter, snowflakes, balloons and sparklers, appetizers pop out, champagne pops and we can ear an '80s hit (Alison Moyet's Only You). Workers leave their computers and documents to turn into outgoing clubbers, looking to show off their dance moves on the carpet-covered dance floor and their singing skills in the company karaoke.

This is Gucci's 2020 Gift Giving campaign, conceived by Creative Director Alessandro Michele, shot by photographer Mark Peckmezian and filmed by director Akinola Davies Jr.

Among Christmas trees, gifts and 80s-90s atmosphere, the Gift Giving collection's pieces capture the attention. There are two seasonal moods: a selection of cozy items, which evokes the warmth of a winter blanket and is made of comfortable and warm clothes made of wool and jacquard fabric with pied de poule print, in the colors green and red; the other part is designed to celebrate with glamour detailing shiny sequins and vibrant shades ranging from gold and silver to pastel colors and black. The shoes in the collection, from loafers to 1977 Tennis sneakers, are made from the same shiny fabric as the clothes, as are the GG Marmont 2.0 shoulder bags that come in various sizes along with small leather goods, luggage and a backpack. The collection also includes many accessories such as baseball caps, bucket hats, socks, scarves and ponchos, headbands and gloves.

The campaign also coincides with the launch of two projects: a new Gucci Arcade mobile game, inspired by the famous Conga Master developed by Undercoders, and the new Gucci gift box. Now all packaging will be made from recycled materials: gifts purchased in the brand's boutiques will be more sustainable and will first be wrapped in beige paper, then placed in green boxes and bags.
