Everything you need to know about Rachel Sennott’s new HBO show ‘‘I Love LA’’ A love letter to Los Angeles, late nights, and the people you will never forget

Since the announcement of an untitled HBO project created by Rachel Sennott, the unhinged and hilarious actress from Bottoms and Shiva Baby, the internet has been head over heels about it. Now, the project has a name: I Love LA, recently revealed to the public alongside a series of superb photos of the cast posing in slogan shirts that read I Love LA.

Rachel Sennott is the creator and star

Sennott is not only the show’s creator and executive producer but also its leading star, playing Maia. The cast includes Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games) as Dylan, Odessa A'zion (Grand Army) as Tallulah, True Whitaker (Berry's Batteries) as Alani, and Jordan Firstman (The Disgustings) as Charlie. Season one will also include many A-list guests, including Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl), Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings), Moses Ingram (The Queen's Gambit), and Lauren Holt (Barbie).

The official plot of "I Love LA"

Although not much is known about the show, the official description says that it follows "an ambitious group of friends as they navigate life and love" in the City of Angels. IMDb describes the show as focusing on "a tight-knit group of friends who reunite after years apart and navigate the complexities of ambition, relationships, and how time has changed them."

When does "I Love LA" come out on HBO?

The first episode premieres on Sunday, November 2, on HBO, with the remaining seven episodes airing weekly until December 21. Like the recently released series such as Adults, Too Much, and Overcompensating, I Love LA promises humor and friendship with the added buzz of Hollywood, and certainly many Erewhon smoothies. Think of it as Darren Star's Sex and the City meets Lena Dunham's Girls, but for the chronically online Zoomer.
