Are we listening to our magical self? Here's what the tarot cards for October 2026 say
You never have an intuition about a matter that has yet to happen, and when it comes true then you feel a bit magical? Or, do you ever remember a person after years and then suddenly that person comes back into your lives? Our magical self should not be underestimated at all, because often (but not always, attention) it is what helps us to discern between our anxiety and an announced disaster. This is why I decided to ask the tarot what the message of our Magical Self is for the month of October. Sometimes we can't immediately pick up the world's signals, so maybe one of these cards can help us understand what the universe is telling us: are we doing the right thing? Or do we have to completely change our strategy? I had my answer, now it's up to you to find out what to do.
The tarot cards of October 2026: choose a card
The Moon (inverted)
Do you know when you keep rethinking something because you can't understand if it's true or if you imagined it? A message that seems strange to you from a person you care about, a person you can't read to the end, a feeling that keeps taking hold of your stomach even if you don't have any concrete evidence to support it. In October we may find ourselves in that very situation, trying to understand how much we can trust our minds and how much, instead, we are letting fear do the work for us. The inverted Moon speaks of a confusion that is slowly clearing up. It doesn't mean that our every hunch will turn out to be correct, quite the contrary. The good thing is that we won't necessarily have to find an answer, but it will be enough for us to stop feeding what perplexes us and let the facts help us understand what we really have in front of us.
The Queen of Wands
There is that thing that we keep saying we want to do, but that we punctually postpone until a time when we will feel more ready, more confident, better, more beautiful, plus everything. Submit an application for our dream job, propose an idea to our boss, start an independent project, write to someone first. Then someone comes along who does exactly what we keep putting off and we think we could have done it before too. The Queen of Wands reminds us that we don't have to become Superman to try. This card talks about taking the initiative and the ability to take seriously what really excites us, even when we are not yet certain of doing it. Perhaps in October it will be good for us to stop waiting for that moment when we finally feel up to taking the first step with what we already have in us. Not because we will actually be able to achieve everything we want, but because continuing to downsize what we want before we even try it will not take us that far.
Six of Swords
This month we may realize that we have overcome something at a fairly trivial moment, such as when we realize that we no longer want to tell that sad story endlessly, or when a person who until a few months ago occupied half of our thoughts now comes to mind much less, but without having behaved who knows how badly towards us. Nothing happened, simply, at a certain point, we started looking elsewhere. The Six of Swords invites us to leave a situation behind us and move towards something quieter, even without yet knowing exactly where we are going. We don't need to have a specific destination or organize a theatrical escape from our old life. Sometimes it's enough to realize that retracing our steps to something that bores us now might not make the most sense for us now. And maybe we don't even have to know what awaits us on the other side: we just need to know that where we have been so far we don't have much to look for.
