The best looks seen at Cannes 2021 From Bella Hadid in vintage Jean Paul Gaultier to Marion Cotillard in Chanel
Welcome back glamour! The 74th edition of the Cannes Film Festival started, opening a new season (hopefully) of red carpets, couture dresses, sophisticated make-up and celebrities wearing the most beautiful and sparkling creations proposed by designers in recent months. Although the Golden Palms for best on-screen performance have yet to be awarded, there is already a winner: Bella Hadid. After catching the attention a few years ago with a super sexy slip dress by Alexandre Vauthier, the model won the award for best dressed of the opening ceremony with a vintage Jean-Paul Gaultier black and white outfit, characterized by a long tulle train and enhanced by a maxi braided chignon, smokey eyes, extra-long lashes. The surprise came from the Belgian singer Angèle, godmother of the event, in a total Chanel look, including the perfect cat-eye à la Brigitte Bardot and the 90s hair clip covered with glitter that gathered her hair.
Even Marion Cotillard, who was among the members of the jury headed by Spike Lee (who wore a shocking pink suit), chose Chanel, Maison of which she is brand ambassador, attending the premiere of Annette with a silver mermaid dress. Both Carla Bruni and Maggie Gyllenhall opted for Celine with her outfit that recalled the days of Hollywood's Golden Age; while among the stars who preferred Italian brands there were Helen Mirren in a very yellow Dolce & Gabbana, Elisa Sednaoui in Alberta Ferretti, Candice Swanepoel in Etro, Soko and Lou Doillon, both in Gucci. Impossible not to mention Jodie Foster who appeared on the Croisette to receive the Palme d'Or in honor in a Givenchy dress and with gray hair, without dye, a choice of freedom shared on the red carpet also by Andie MacDowell and Helen Mirren.
Here below the best looks of Cannes 2021.
