Must-see events at Milan Beauty Week 2026 Five days of skincare, fragrance, make-up and beauty chaos

From September 16 to 20, for five days, even going to buy a serum in Milan can take on the proportions of a cultural event. Why? Milan Beauty Week 2026 is back, taking over the city centre’s squares, palazzos, trams, newsstands and gardens with pop-ups, talks, consultations, workshops, performances and installations that explore beauty not simply as a lipstick we put on our lips, but as a matter of science, culture, identity, health and even economics. Now in its fifth edition, the event promoted by Cosmetica Italia, in collaboration with Cosmoprof and Esxence, has chosen essentiality as its central theme this year. After years of twelve-step skincare routines, exotic ingredients, glowing gadgets and beauty trends that seem to require a master’s degree in organic chemistry, the industry is starting to ask itself what we actually need. Cosmetics are therefore being presented as an everyday ritual connected to hygiene, prevention, skin protection and wellbeing, but also as a key part of the Italian industry, which reached around €18 billion in revenue in 2025. The result is a Milan Beauty Week that feels less and less like a traditional trade fair and increasingly like one giant urban laboratory. The three main hubs remain Palazzo Giureconsulti, Palazzo Castiglioni and Palazzo Bovara, while the rest of the city is being taken over by Beauty Cube, Beauty Tram, newsstands and pop-ups. So, if over the next few days you spot someone walking around Milan carrying an enormous tote bag, a freshly completed skin analysis and a vaguely euphoric expression, chances are they haven’t had a mystical crisis. They’ve simply been to Beauty Week.

Must-see events at Milan Beauty Week 2026

Shaka

When: September 16–20

Where: Garden Senato, Via Senato 14

If contemporary beauty has increasingly become its own universe, Shaka is taking that idea literally and turning it into a hotel. From September 16 to 20, Garden Senato on Via Senato 14 will become The Beauty Hotel: a 2,300-square-metre space where the minibar is replaced by skincare, make-up and haircare, while room service and spa treatments make way for masterclasses, beauty treatments, games and consultations. Entry is free, and the experience unfolds across the Beauty Hall, Beauty Room, Beauty Station, Lounge Area and Boutique. A total of 37 international brands will take part, with a strong focus on K-Beauty, alongside Italian, Japanese, British, German and Vietnamese names. The experience will continue outside Garden Senato through a full city takeover, involving selected OVS stores across Milan with Beauty Passport, Beauty Hotel Keys, Fast Check-In and a City Map. Finally, on Sunday, September 20, check-out will come with a soundtrack: a live showcase by Samurai Jay, reserved for competition winners.

L’Oréal Paris

When: September 16–20

Where: Piazza 25 Aprile

In Piazza 25 Aprile, from September 16 to 20, L’Oréal Paris will explore one of the hottest intersections in contemporary skincare: the increasingly close relationship between cosmetics, biotechnology and aesthetic medicine. The focus will be the new Revitalift Filler HA + PDRN Serum, combining hyaluronic acid and PDRN, an ingredient that has become one of the major protagonists of skincare in recent years. The pop-up will be designed as a small beauty laboratory, with scientific demonstrations, educational sessions, free skin checks, personalised consultations and a journey through the technology behind the product. And, naturally, there will also be a skin booster bar, hydration-themed drinks and a gift bag. Opening hours will be 10am to 8pm, extending until 11pm on Saturday, September 19.

Garnier

When: September 16–20

Where: Piazza Castello

If you like scientific skincare but would rather approach science with a sorbet in your hand, Garnier has you covered. From September 16 to 20, Piazza Castello will host the Vitamin C Bar, an immersive space dedicated to the Vitamin C range and the brand’s High Tech Nature™ philosophy. Visitors will be able to try the products, get a skin analysis, receive personalised advice and discover the routine best suited to their needs. One of the highlights will be the Fresh & Bright Sorbet Cream, accompanied by samples, gifts and a lemon sorbet inspired by the product itself. And just like that, vitamin C is no longer just an ingredient printed on a bottle. It becomes a colour, a flavour, a texture, a photo opportunity and, ideally, a new habit to take home.

Vichy

When: September 16–20

Where: Piazza San Babila

In Piazza San Babila, from September 16 to 20, Vichy will make its Milan Beauty Week debut with an experience dedicated to the IN&OUT protocol, combining skincare and nutritional supplements. Visitors will have access to free skin analyses, personalised consultations and treatments using red LED masks. The focus will be collagen, through the combination of Liftactiv Collagen 16 and Liftactiv Collagen Food Supplement. It is another sign of how beauty is increasingly absorbing the language of wellness, where skin is presented as part of a broader sense of wellbeing and the beauty routine becomes an everyday form of self-care.

NYX Professional Makeup

When: September 16–20

Where: Piazza San Babila

NYX Professional Makeup responds to the idea of essentiality with pink, fuchsia, gloss and a generous dose of Y2K. From September 16 to 20, Piazza San Babila will transform into an American Diner inspired by the global If You NYX, You Know Volume 2 campaign. The brand’s iconic lip combos will become the stars of the menu, while make-up artists will be available for personalised make-up retouches. Community gifts will complete the experience, alongside the return of Paris Hilton as the “Gloss Boss”. The NYX flagship store at Via Torino 23 will also get a special makeover, with promotions and surprises.

When: September 16–20

Where: Piazza San Babila

Also in Piazza San Babila, Lancôme, Mugler and YSL Beauty will tackle sustainability through #JoinTheRefillMovement, a project by the L’Oréal Group dedicated to promoting refillable formats. The idea is to turn refilling from a purely functional gesture into an experience. The pop-up will be designed like an art gallery: instead of paintings, the walls will display fragrances from the three brands. Visitors will move through a story about the concept of lasting luxury before reaching the Refill Room, where the refill process will be demonstrated in practice. To make the whole thing feel less like a lesson in recycling, an interactive station inspired by 1990s gaming consoles will be waiting at the end. Because if we have to learn how to save the planet, we might as well do it with a joystick in our hand.

Armani Beauty

When: September 17–20

Where: Rinascente Milano Piazza Duomo

At Rinascente Milano Piazza Duomo, Armani Beauty will turn the launch of I Will, the new men’s fragrance by Giorgio Armani, into a full urban takeover. The outdoor pop-up will be designed like a film set complete with a Glam Cam, while inside visitors will be able to discover the fragrance through interactive activities, personalisation and make-up sessions. From September 17 to 20, fragrance discovery sessions will take place, while on September 16 the space will also host the recording of Passa dal BSMT, the podcast by Gianluca Gazzoli. Once again, fragrance stops being something you simply smell in front of a shelf and becomes a narrative universe to walk through, enter, photograph, listen to and perhaps leave with, a brand-new olfactory obsession.

BioNike

When: September 19–20

Where: Giardino Cordusio

On September 19 and 20, Giardino Cordusio will become an artist’s studio thanks to BioNike and The Color Atelier. From 10am to 8pm, make-up will be presented as a tool for personal expression through the Defence Color range, with consultations, product testing and interactive activities. The experience begins with The Foundation Canvas, dedicated to foundation, continues with The Lip Palette and ends with The Lash Signature, focused on mascara. Visitors will also be able to contribute to a collective canvas and take part in a gamification experience inspired by an artist’s tools. The space will also host Epidermide – ogni strato è deposito, l'insieme è memoria by Sofia Lazzeri, winner of the From Matter to Skin sculpture competition promoted by BioNike with the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze as part of Shapes of Art. And just like that, make-up becomes what it perhaps always was: not a mask designed to correct us, but a language through which to declare ourselves.

Bottega Verde Toscana

When: September 17–20

Where: Piazza San Babila

From September 17 to 20, even a newsstand can become a beauty destination. In Piazza San Babila, Bottega Verde Toscana will bring its universe to Milan with a project exploring the relationship between cosmetics and territory. At the heart of the experience will be the Bottega Verde Toscana Fanzine, accompanied by the digital quiz “Which Tuscany are you?”, inviting visitors to discover which side of the region they identify with. Guests will also be able to explore the Saponaria line, made up of ten facial cleansing rituals. The journey ends with tote bags, samples and fanzines. The initiative will also involve Bottega Verde stores on Via Torino, Corso Buenos Aires and at Centro Commerciale Piazza Portello.

Mo’Stò

When: September 19

Where: Scuola di Danza Cavalleri, Via Palermo 1, Brera

On September 19, Mo’Stò will bring Vino Flow & Glow to Milan, an experience combining Pilates, breathwork, skincare, lipcare and a glass of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo as part of The Boutique Retreat x Be Indie Community. The afternoon begins at 5pm with a Pilates Flow & Breathwork session led by Ana Cabal, followed at 5:45pm by a beauty ritual dedicated to the skin. At its centre are grape seed oil and Montepulciano d’Abruzzo extracts, signature ingredients of the brand. The ritual includes DELULU, a lip scrub made with sugar and active wine water, BAE, a plumping balm, and the Proserum and Nonsecca skincare products. Champagnino, a scented alcohol-free intimate water, will also be introduced during the experience. The event takes place at Scuola di Danza Cavalleri, Via Palermo 1, Brera, with paid admission and limited spots. A journey that starts with the land, moves through the body and reaches the skin. And then, very democratically, the glass.

Ciglissime

When: September 18–20

Where: Piazza San Babila and Corso Vittorio Emanuele

If mascara now feels like a little too traditional, Ciglissime is bringing its DIY lash extensions to Milan Beauty Week in three different formats. On September 18 and 19, the brand will be at a Beauty Corner at Palazzo Giureconsulti, where visitors can book a lash application and light make-up retouch. From September 18 to 20, meanwhile, a travelling cart will move between Piazza San Babila and Corso Vittorio Emanuele, while a shop corner will be available throughout the event at Shaka The Beauty Hotel. It is an activation that perfectly captures the beauty industry’s shift from salon expertise to DIY democratisation. Because if in the 2000s we went to the beautician for practically everything, today the industry wants to teach us how to do it ourselves, preferably while filming a TikTok.

Réservation Parfums

Must-see events at Milan Beauty Week 2026 Five days of skincare, fragrance, make-up and beauty chaos | Image 631712

When: September 16–19

Where: Antonia Milano, Via Sant’Andrea 10

For its first Milan Beauty Week, Réservation Parfums is bringing a hotel to the city that doesn’t exist, but for four days will have a very real address. Founded in 2025 by Francesco Ragazzi, the niche fragrance brand presents seven scents created by master perfumer Yann Vasnier, inspired by the atmosphere of a Californian hotel. Each fragrance tells the story of a room, a guest or a moment transformed into an olfactory memory. From September 16 to 19, at Antonia Milano on Via Sant’Andrea 10, the Room Service project will recreate the intimacy of a hotel room where visitors can discover the seven fragrances and their stories. On September 18 and 19, meanwhile, the brand will take to the streets with its hotel trolley and two Bellboys for House Rules, a kind of travelling casino involving chips, dice and playing cards. Participants will be able to discover their own fragrance and receive a first gift; by signing up for the newsletter, they can receive a second gift to collect at Antonia with a purchase. The hotel is imaginary. The experience, decidedly not.

Beauty Gives Back and Love is in the Hair

When: September 19–20

Where: Palazzo Castiglioni, Corso Venezia 47

On September 19 and 20, Palazzo Castiglioni on Corso Venezia 47 will become a meeting point between beauty and solidarity thanks to Beauty Gives Back and Love is in the Hair, two initiatives supporting La forza e il sorriso E.T.S.. The first will allow visitors to choose cosmetic products from participating brands in exchange for a donation, while the second will bring professional hairstylists to the first-floor veranda, where they will create new looks using L’Oréal Professionnel products in collaboration with Compagnia della Bellezza. The proceeds will help support free beauty and wellbeing workshops for women undergoing cancer treatment, designed to help them rediscover confidence, wellbeing and their relationship with their own image throughout their care journey. It is a reminder that beauty is not only about appearance. Sometimes, it can also become a tool for rebuilding self-esteem, identity and a sense of self.
