Acqua di Parma celebrates its 110 years with a limited edition fragrance And with a celebration of the art of Italian living

2026 marks a special date: a century and a decade since Baron Carlo Magnani, in the heart of Parma, created the first fragrance of Acqua di Parma. Since then, the Maison has never stopped celebrating the Italian Art of Living: a vision of refined simplicity, authentic beauty, and radiant joy. Colonia, the original Eau de Cologne, remains the soul of this story. Born in Parma, it captures in its notes the very essence of elegance: discreet, sunny, and profoundly human. Since then, the Maison has fostered a constant dialogue between past and future. Each creation is the result of a meeting: between authenticity and talent, hand and thought, tradition and vision. Thus, what is born ordinary becomes extraordinary.
Introducing Colonia Il Profumo Millesimato, the new fragrance from Acqua di Parma
From this philosophy comes Colonia Il Profumo Millesimato, a limited edition created by Alexis Dadier, which reinterprets the Maison’s most iconic fragrance to celebrate 110 years of history. Like a painting revealing new shades with every brushstroke, the three interpretations (Colonia, Colonia Il Profumo, and now Millesimato) tell a single story from different perspectives, unveiling various facets of Italian elegance. The beating heart of Colonia Il Profumo Millesimato is the 2024 harvest of White Ylang-Ylang flowers from the island of Nosy Be, off Madagascar. Here, thanks to the mild climate and abundant rainfall, the flowers developed their full olfactory complexity: fruity notes and spicy undertones that give the fragrance a luminous intensity. Masterfully distilled over twenty-four hours and carefully fractioned, these extraordinary flowers enhance the vitality of Italian citrus fruits, adding density and depth to the perfume. Italian bergamot, blood orange, petitgrain, and grapefruit open the composition with a glow of ; rosemary, orange leaf absolute, patchouli, and vetiver provide structure, composing a portrait of pure Italian sophistication.
The fragrance is housed in a glass bottle adorned with a sculptural detail and a back label highlighting its craftsmanship and olfactory composition. The bottle rests in the iconic Acqua di Parma yellow hatbox, featuring a gold seal commemorating the 2024 Ylang-Ylang harvest and the Maison’s 110th anniversary.
Continuing the anniversary celebrations, a cinematic campaign brings together two figures: Michael Fassbender, an icon of timeless elegance, and Sabrina Impacciatore, ambassador of Italian authenticity. Set in the heart of Parma, the Maison’s hometown, the campaign is an emotional tribute to the universal values of the Italian Art of Living.
