In The Gentle Society you tell a story through glances and subtle gestures. How was this experience different from working on a traditional film set?
Every set is different and unique in its own way, but there are still many similar aspects. So it didn’t feel that different from a traditional set. There was a technical crew, a camera crew, a lighting crew, a director, an assistant director… so everything felt very familiar to me.
The short revolves around the idea of “kindness as a revolution.” What does this concept mean to you, even beyond the screen?
Together, kindness and revolution show us that changing the world doesn’t always come from grand gestures of power, but sometimes from small acts of care that ripple outward and become transformative.
What was your dynamic with Eva Herzigová during filming? Did you find a natural connection right away?
Yes, she was very kind and funny with me from the very first time we met.
What impressed you most about Simone Yang’s visual language as the director of the short?
Simone Yang’s visual language is absolutely stunning, but I have to say the thing that struck me the most from the very beginning was definitely the script. I was incredibly impressed the first time I read it. It has been a real pleasure working together.
If you had to describe your experience with Trussardi and The Gentle Society in three words, which ones would you choose?
Gentle, respectful, revolutionary.
As both a model and an actor, how do you balance aesthetic expression with a more narrative and emotional one?
I don’t usually think about it much. I simply enjoy both professions and try to bring what modeling gives me into film, and what film gives me into modeling.
How would you describe your journey as an actor so far? What have been the most defining moments for you?
I would describe my career as still at the beginning. After all, I’m a novice actor. I still have a lot to learn and to experience. Little by little, I’m working on projects that help me grow and improve as an actor.
Which directors or actors do you dream of working with in the future?
This is always a difficult question for me. In cinema I have many idols — actors, actresses, and directors — but in the end it all comes down to taste. Over the years I’ve also been learning more about cinema and its history, and I keep discovering new figures in this industry who inspire me a lot. Today I would say I really admire Daniel Day-Lewis, Leonardo DiCaprio, Marlon Brando, and as for directors, Guy Ritchie, Christopher Nolan, Luca Guadagnino.
