The best outfits of the Venice Film Festival 2021 From Zendaya in Balmain and Valentino to Mariacarla Boscono in Jean Paul Gaultier
Stars and glamour return to the Lagoon for the 78th edition of the Venice Film Festival. After the Dolce & Gabbana fashion show and waiting for the Alberta Ferretti charity event to celebrate the 1600th year since the founding of the city, the outfits of actresses, models and international celebrities shine on the red carpet once again.
The first to inaugurate the fashion show was the festival's godmother, Serena Rossi, in Armani, a brand also chosen by models Sara Sampaio and Barbara Palvin and the always cool Isabelle Huppert, who opted for a vintage piece from FW05 Couture. The most awaited actress, however, was Penelope Cruz, who arrived in the Venetian capital to present Madres paralelas, Almodóvar's new movie. The Spanish diva was in front of the photographers' flashes with her hair in a chignon, a make-up focused on her lips, emphasized by a plum lipstick and wearing an elegant Chanel black and white dress, a two-tone chosen also by her set colleague Milena Smit in Balmain, who sported an interesting look by Marine Serre during the press conference. Eleonora Carisi in a green creation by Pinko and Bianca Balti, with nude make-up and a voluminous saffron yellow Dolce & Gabbana dress, were beautiful. 'Til now, the most charming were Gaia Gozzi in Maison Margiela and Greta Ferro with a dress that left her back bare by Armani, both wearing bright red lipstick; and Mariacarla Boscono in a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier, with emeralds jewels by Cartier and tights by Wolford, styled by Ramona Tabita. In the meantime, Kristen Stewart (in Chanel), who will present the new film on Lady D, also arrived in Laguna, as well as Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya (stepped off the vaporetto in a superchic Valentino and later in custom Balmain), both of whom are starring in the remake of Dune. Dune.
To catch the eye during this Venice Week are also the daily looks of the stars and not only those shown on the red carpet or in the various parties that animate the city during the nights of the Festival. The most interesting so far? Milena Smit in Marine Serre, Zendaya in Valentino, Kristen Stewart in jacket and shorts by Chanel and Benedetta Porcaroli in Gucci.
For the beauty, the trend is the statement lipstick, such as the red one chosen by Gaia Gozzi and Greta Ferro or dark like the one sported by Penelope Cruz and Barbara Palvin. Equally popular is the nude effect make-up as proved by Bianca Balti and Kristen Stewart.
