Best beauty looks from the 2025 Grammys From Lady Gaga as a gothic lady to Sabrina Carpenter's Old Hollywood style

On the night between February 2nd and 3rd, the 2025 Grammy Awards officially kicked off the awards season—a series of celebrations of talent and glamour where stars showcase their best looks to shine on the red carpet and compete for the title of best look. Guided by their team, including stylists and MUAs, celebrities wear the most precious and original outfits, often opting for vintage treasures, along with makeup designed to capture attention and keep fans and social media talking for days. From this perspective, the 67th edition of the Music Oscars did not disappoint expectations.

Beyoncé was the winner of the most prestigious award, taking home the golden gramophone in the Album of the Year category with Cowboy Carter and three other awards out of eleven nominations. Her look? A mermaid dress covered in crystals and adorned with white paisley embroidery, custom-made by Schiaparelli, paired with nude lips and long platinum blonde hair parted in the middle, cascading down to her waist. Nude lips were one of the beauty trends of the night, also chosen by Charli XCX and Gracie AbramsTaylor Swift, on the other hand, stayed true to her signature makeup: eyeliner and red lipstick, matching her Vivienne Westwood mini dress.

Chappell Roan sported a much more maximalist look, so colorful that it seemed almost in contrast to the gothic aesthetic of Lady Gaga, who—from her Samuel Lewis dress to her raven-black hair—evoked a fascinating dark Victorian lady. What about the hairstylesSabrina CarpenterCardi B, Doechii, and Kelsea Ballerini embraced retro Old Hollywood-inspired styles, while Lady GagaMiley Cyrus and Billie Eilish opted for the jellyfish haircut.

The award for the most extravagant nails definitely goes to Cynthia Erivo, who, stepping away from her Wicked references, stunned with a mix-and-match manicure by Mycah Dior, inspired by her Louis Vuitton navy and metallic silver gown. Her extra-long coffin nails were created using OPI polishes and decorated with gems, moons, stars, and glitter. Fun fact: it took a total of five hours to complete the manicure!

Best Beauty Looks of the 2025 Grammys

Lady Gaga

Her highly anticipated new album, Mayhem, is set to be released on March 7th, and, as always, Lady Gaga debuted a new gothic-inspired look. She showcased long jet-black hair in a jellyfish haircut with baby bangs. Her bleached eyebrows added extra drama to her makeup, created by Sarah Tanno, featuring soft smokey eyes, a generous touch of blush, and soft coral lips. The result perfectly captured the vampiric, gothic mood that has everyone obsessed with the Nosferatu aesthetic.

Sabrina Carpenter

The Espresso singer embraced Old Hollywood glamour, wearing a custom JW Anderson powder blue feathered gown paired with a faux bob—a wavy, semi-updo with curls reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe. Hairstylist Evanie Frausto crafted the look using Redken products. For her makeup, Carolina Gonzalez used Prada Beauty products, featuring her signature baby-doll blush and an iconic lip combo in pink hues. To achieve it, Gonzalez layered a soft nude-pink trio: Prada Beauty Hydrating Lip Balm in U001 Astral Pink, Prada Beauty Monochrome Soft Matte Lipstick in B101 Tiepolo, and Prada Beauty Monochrome Hyper Matte Lipstick in B11 Alabaster. Her manicure, created by nail artist Zola Ganzorigt using OPI polishes, featured rounded transparent nails dusted with white chrome powder and diamond-like accents.

Chappell Roan

Chappell Roan arrived on the red carpet with her signature drag-inspired makeup by Andrew Dahling. Thin eyebrows framed a vibrant mix of blue and yellow eyeshadow, complemented by spectacular false lashes. Her exaggerated red blush was unmissable. As for her hair, she showcased long, curly copper locks styled by Dom Forletta using Amika products and Bellami Silk Seam Clip-In Hair Extensions in Cinnamon Mocha. The beauty look was completed with ultra-long gold chrome French nails, created by nail artist Juan Alvear using OPI, peeking out from turquoise gloves that matched the archival Jean Paul Gaultier gown.

Gracie Abrams

For the 2025 Grammys, Gracie Abrams chose a romantic and ethereal look by Chanel, complete with a sheer white veil covering her short bob. Makeup artist Emily Cheng focused on a feline gaze, contrasting with the angelic allure of her outfit. Using Ilia Beauty products, she created a brown smokey eye framed by full, well-defined brows. And for the manicure? Betina R. Goldstein opted for Chanel Le Vernis in Ballerina.

Charli XCX

The Brat star lived up to expectations, gracing the red carpet in a custom Ludovic De Saint Sernin for Jean Paul Gaultier Couture dress, fresh from its debut at fashion week just days ago. Her makeup, done by Nina Park using Valentino Beauty products, featured sculpted eyes achieved with the Valentino Beauty Color-Flip Eyeshadow Palette in shade 02 and the Twin Liner Eyeliner. Her lips were kept nude. Hairstylist Bryce Scarlett, using Laifen products, styled her hair in effortless, flowing waves.

Willow Smith

Willow rocked a voluminous afro with a sharp middle part, styled by Vernon François for Olaplex. Her makeup, crafted by Ernesto Casillas using Dior Beauty, emphasized her lips with ombré shading, made even more striking by a gold lip piercing. Her smile revealed delicate tooth-gem accents. For the eyes, a black liner on the lower lash line was paired with a subtle dusting of gold eyeshadow.

Cardi B

Cardi B embraced Old Hollywood glamour with a pin-up style curled bob and a retro-inspired brown-toned makeup look, created by Erika La'Pearl for i-Envy. The extra touch? Sparkling gems applied to her face. Adding even more bombshell energy to the look were her stiletto nails, crafted by nail artist Coca Michelle using OPI, sharp as razors.
