Beauty Eggs for Easter 2023

What if this year we found the best skincare and make-up products inside an egg? Gift boxes in the shape of eggs are the latest trend in the cosmetics industry, the spring version of the popular Advent calendar and the perfect gift to give or receive at Easter. Alongside (or as an alternative to) chocolate crisps, they contain creams, lipstick, eye shadow, mascara and bubble bath and everything we need to take time out and dedicate ourselves to our well-being. Douglas

Douglas' Beauty Easter Egg is a pastel yellow egg (housed in packaging exclusively designed by @titta_designer) with 15 surprises inside, containing a mix of make-up products, skincare, fragrances and tools from brands available in Douglas perfumeries - perfect for gifting or treating yourself to for your spring beauty routine. Curious to know more? Here are the contents of the box: a long-lasting lipstick by Smashbox, a face palette by Astra, a vegan lipstick by Mulac, Magic Face Drops by Collistar, Paradise Dream Velvet Lip Mousse, a tinted lip balm by Dear Dahlia, an eye pencil by Mesauda, a mascara by Essence, a mini size of Ariana Grande's perfume REM and a massage brush by Pomelo. The selection dedicated to skincare features: a mud-to-foam cleanser with pink clay by Revolution Skincare; a vitamin C-enriched glow toner by Douglas Collection; a brightening serum by Synergye Therm; a moisturising night mask by Belif; a day cream with spf 30 by Keys Soulcare; SOS Spot Treatment, an anti-blemish gel by Hello Body.

 

Diego dalla Palma

From an exclusive collaboration between Diego dalla Palma and chocolate shop Majani in Bologna come the MyHappyToy and MyToyBoy Easter eggs, two exclusive kits that combine beauty products with delicious chocolate in packaging specially designed by Bristol-based illustrator and designer Ruby Taylor. The first contains MyHappyToy, the mascara that intensifies lashes from the root for ultra-defined, clump-free volume, the Black Eye Pencil and the Extra Majani Fine Milk Chocolate Egg. The second, on the other hand, contains the Extra Majani Fine Milk Chocolate Egg, the mascara with "push-up" effect that lengthens and volumises the lashes, and the Black Eye Pencil.

 

L’Occitane

Until last year, L'Occitane offered its essential beauty routine in miniature in an egg-shaped box. For 2023, L'Occitane has decided to celebrate Easter with a special recycled felt basket containing a 10ml Almond Hand Cream, 10ml Cherry Blossom Hand Cream, 10ml Shea Hand Cream, 10ml Verbena Fresh Hand Cream and 10ml Rose Shea Hand Cream.

 

Rituals

Three colours for as many different scents and eggs. The yellow one and contains a range of body cosmetics with sweet orange and energising cedar: a gel shower gel from The Ritual of Mehr, a hand balm from The Ritual of Sakura, a travel-size L'Éclat perfume and a Fortune repairing lip balm. The pink variant, The Ritual of Sakura, is inspired by the blossoming cherry trees of Japan and includes a hand cream, shower mousse, lip balm and Rêve de Hanami mini perfume. The grey variant, The Ritual of Sport, features a shower gel and an anti-dryness body lotion, as well as a travel-size L'essentielin perfume.

 

Lush

For Easter 2023, Lush has come up with Let us Be Eggcellent To Each Other, a beauty box featuring two bubbly bath bombs in the shape of Easter eggs: Flamingo Egg, an explosion of light blue and pink with the sweet scent of candyfloss, and Golden Egg, a softening cocoa butter-based bath bomb that melts in water and gives off a hint of caramel. All are packaged in a colourful box made from 100 per cent recycled paper.
