Three cards to guide us on our introspective journey
January 27th, 2025
The tarot cards, used for centuries as a tool for introspection, are also a powerful means to facilitate meditation and inner exploration. Each card in the deck holds symbols and meanings that can guide our thoughts in a certain direction and, above all, lead us to greater self-awareness. In this guide, we will explore how to use three tarot cards as inspiration for a short meditation or visualization.
Tarot and Meditation: A Simple Guide
Before starting: find a quiet place where you feel relaxed and focused. Take deep breaths and try to calm your mind. The three cards I drew from the deck are: The Magician, Temperance, and Strength. How can these figures guide us toward greater awareness? Let's discover it together.
The Meaning of the Magician for Meditation
The Magician represents youth, resources, and creativity. This card invites you to connect with your creative potential and your ability to transform reality. The Magician has all the tools needed to manifest their desires and dreams, just as you have all the resources within you to create the life you want.

Take a deep breath and imagine yourself as the Magician, with all the tools you need to achieve your desires laid out before you. Each tool represents a part of yourself: the wand for thought, the pentacle for materiality, the sword for intelligence, and the cup for emotion. Visualize yourself using these tools to create the reality you desire. Ask yourself: what do you want to manifest? What is holding you back?
Temperance: Meaning and What to Do
The Temperance card symbolizes harmony, patience, and the balance between opposites. The figure on this card is an angel mixing two cups, symbolizing the ability to combine different forces to create perfect unity. Temperance invites us to balance the various aspects of our lives, such as work and rest, action and reflection.
Close your eyes. Imagine yourself as the angel of Temperance, holding two cups in your hands. Each cup represents a part of your life that needs balance. One might symbolize work, while the other could represent your emotions or social life. Picture yourself slowly pouring the contents of one cup into the other. Feel how the two elements blend perfectly. Ask yourself: what needs balancing in your life right now?
Strength: Staying Grounded in the Face of Challenges
The card of Strength symbolizes courage, self-discipline, and resilience. Take note: this isn’t about physical strength but rather the inner strength that allows us to face challenges with calm and determination. The figure of the woman taming the lion reminds us that true strength comes from the ability to master our emotions and confront challenges with confidence and serenity.

Imagine standing before a lion, a symbol of your fears or obstacles. But there’s no fear: know that you possess the courage and calm needed to face it. Strength teaches you to not run from difficulties, to face them with serenity and determination. Visualize yourself approaching the lion. See how the lion, representing your challenges, calms as you meet its gaze. Think about a challenge you’re facing in your life. Ask yourself: how can you approach it with greater calm and confidence? How can you remain steady and grounded in the face of difficulties? Once you’ve meditated on each of the three cards, take a moment to reflect on what you’ve learned. Have a wonderful journey!
