Young, beautiful and with a courageous personality. Kaia Gerber stars in the Valentino Black Tie ADV campaign, a punk tale shot by Steven Meisel at Oheka Castle in New York. With her natural beauty that seems to speak the universal language of fashion, and a mood that conveys a sense of rebellion and confidence, the young model wears garments from the FW 2023/24 collection. At the centre of each outfit, alongside modern interpretations of iconic Maison elements such as the studded button and roses, is the black tie, an accessory that Pierpaolo Piccioli's reinterpretation turns into a powerful tool that can take on different meanings and break away from traditional notions of elegance and restrictive formality.

Whereas in the past the tie was a symbol of formality and masculine power, the ValenTie is instead an all-encompassing style and a mirror of personal expression, transformed into a means of semantic reassignment that encompasses the entire collection. Combined with shirts, coats, suits, bodices, jumpers and skirts, the black tie is no longer just a must-have in the outfits of the Valentino FW 2023/24 collection, but it changes the traditional norms and codes of formal wear by integrating it into both day and evening looks. In the words of Pierpaolo Piccioli: "The uniform is turned upside down by a simple accessory and turned inside out by a fashionable act".
