Less is more, even when it comes to shoes. This summer our feet are choosing the quiet luxury, the refined and essential style that is back in fashion thanks to Succession, the Old Money aesthetic and the 90s minimalism that inspired the catwalks of recent years. The sandals that should be on your shopping list for the next few months have a clean, almost naked design, without unnecessary frills, which makes them comfortable, refined and versatile at the same time, a real fit for any outfit, from the most casual to the most formal. They can come in different shapes: Sleepers, flip-flops, ultra-flats, with thin or thick heels, ... but they are all characterised by craftsmanship, natural materials such as leather or hide, small details, laces and more or less thin straps, but always balanced to slim the figure of the foot.

They are accessories that do not like to take centre stage and although they can be declined in lighter colours, they never overpower the rest of the look but complement it with a naturally chic effect, whether they are combined with cargo trousers, a suit or a summer dress. Perhaps celebrities have always loved and chosen them for their understatement. Jacqueline Onassis wore them in ultra-slim versions on the Piazzetta di Capri in the 1970s, Kate Moss favoured them in slave style when she was on holiday in Saint-Tropez in the 1990s, and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy loved them with thin, classic straps in vintage style. Their fans include Jennifer Lawrence, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Angelina Jolie, who has become a true master of quiet luxury style since leaving Hollywood.
