Zara launches a new Bridal collection

Inditex bets on the bridal category after the 2022 bridal boom forecasts

Zara launches a new Bridal collection Inditex bets on the bridal category after the 2022 bridal boom forecasts

After 2021, Inditex continues to bet on the category of wedding dresses for Zara. The fast-fashion giant has just launched a new capsule collection composed of 14 references dedicated to future brides and not. The slipped dresses with strictly satin effect and white colors range from optical white to off-white, and suggest the classic Mediterranean aesthetic, ethereal that speaks of freedom, which has always been linked to the Spanish brand. The launch of the collection is the second step in the world of Wedding Industry, which positions Zara ever closer to building another level of fast fashion luxury version, with the use of precious materials such as mulberry silk and worked lace, even if the origin of the raw material is not verified as for artisanal or boutique brands. The price range is from 60€ to 200€ to buy the bridal lingerie and one of the 6 dresses proposed in the collection, now available online

In full Zara-design style, the garments retrieve references from the catwalks and from dresses that have stolen the breath on the red carpets: impossible not to notice the inspiration taken for the long-sleeved dress with lined cuffs from the Dior dress worn by Kate Moss in 2007 at the party for the opening of the exhibition "The Golden Age of Couture Gala" at the Victoria and Albert Museum. Same for the dress with draped neckline that is very reminiscent of the slip dress worn by Gwyneth Paltrow for the Oscars 1996.

The garments follow a delicate and romantic line, they have in common defined but soft hems, while they present with different lines in the neck and shoulder area, they are ideal for the occasion indicated but they present themselves as very versatile, and the styling ideas that emerge looking at them are endless: for a walk in the park in May, they would be perfect worn with a blazer and a pair of Converse.

Zara wedding dresses are the symbol of a new desire to celebrate official events, a little because previously it had been forbidden to do so due to restrictions on receptions, a little because the market forecasts of the Wedding Industry Report profiles for America a boom in weddings in the current year, with an increase to 2.47 million wedding unions compared to 1.97% last year. If in Italy last year the wedding industry has suffered a strong retrocession due to pandemic (-80% of events according to Assoconfindustria), this summer could be positively influenced by the U.S. and see newlyweds get married and invited to toast happily, even wearing Zara clothes.
