The silk scarf is the must-have accessory of 2020

The latest Dior show made it clear which will be the hottest accessory of the year

The silk scarf is the must-have accessory of 2020 The latest Dior show made it clear which will be the hottest accessory of the year

To shelter from the sun, from the light spring wind, or to give a refined touch to a boring outfit, the silk scarf is a timeless and super versatile accessory.
For the latest Dior catwalk, Maria Grazia Chiuri chose the silk scarf - in the iconic monogram version - knotted on the models' heads in two different hairstyles: headband, wide and embracing, or bandana. The smooth and impalpable fabric of the drapes, the silk, embellishes the looks with a slightly austere 70s mood, adding a fresh and cool twist. Also, in the recent Louis Vuitton's SS20 campaign, featuring Aleali May and Aimee Song, the silk scarf is the protagonist, showing the different ways to wear it.

A multifunctional accessory, to experiment with: there are many ways to wear the silk scarf, from the most classic one with the scarf tied around the neck, to the more contemporary ones like the bandana or the headband, but we have also seen the return of the "turban". Other ways to create a styling with the scarf are to wear it as a top - using an oversized one - tied to the wrist or to the handle of a bag.

Sure thing is that there are so many ways to use the silk scarf, just like the number of patterns, colours, logos and versions in which we can find this incredible accessory.

We have selected the perfect scarves for the upcoming season, in a mini shopping guide by nss G-Club.
