VAIA's “The Forest of Innovators” is back on Monte Panarotta A day of talks, workshops and the planting of 1,000 trees to understand where we are focusing our attention
In a world where everything competes for our attention, stop and ask ourselves: “What Matters? — what really matters?” , may represent a revolutionary act. It is from this idea that “Fuori Focus” was born. Where do you put your attention?” , the theme of the fifth edition of the Forest of Innovators, the annual event of the Benefit Company and B Corp VAIA, scheduled for September 19, 2026 on Monte Panarotta, in Trentino. In the four previous editions, the initiative involved a total of more than 4,000 people, hosted 25 talks, 8 workshops for children and 4 concerts, contributing to the planting of more than 4,000 trees. A path that has made the Forest of Innovators a reference event for a community eager to get involved and generate a positive impact.
In the era of distraction, VAIA refocuses on what matters
The 2026 edition invites us to ask ourselves what our time and energy really deserve today. Through the contribution of speakers from different fields, the Forest of Innovators will offer new points of view and stimuli capable of translating into concrete choices and actions. Because what we pay attention to is, after all, what we choose to grow. Among the protagonists of the talks are Alice Pomiato (Aliceful, popularizer and trainer on sustainability issues), Francesco Cancellato (director of Fanpage.it), Maurizio Carucci (musician, co-founder of Cascina Barbàn and Ex-Otago frontman) and Paolo Iabichino (writer, publicist and creative director). Voices coming from different fields, called to offer new points of view and stimuli capable of translating into concrete choices.
A day open to everyone to refocus on what matters
Participation in the Forest of Innovators is open to everyone and free of charge, upon registration on the official VAIA website. The day will open with a yoga practice and will continue with talks, workshops for children, organized in collaboration with MUSE (Science Museum of Trento) and other local partners, and moments of discussion, bringing into dialogue different perspectives around a simple and essential question: what really deserves our attention?
As usual, one of the central moments of the experience will be the collective planting of 1,000 new trees, in addition to the more than 4,000 already planted in previous editions. Planting a tree thus also becomes a symbolic gesture: giving concrete form to an action whose ability to grow depends on the care and support of the community. The fifth edition will also be an opportunity to unveil a new product evolution. Closing the day will be the Ex-Otago special set, immersed in nature: a shared moment that renews the bond between people and the territory.
