What if we went to the beauty center for group therapy too? Care is not only external, according to the Lina space in Milan
At via Francesco Crispi 15 in Milan, there is a hybrid space dedicated to wellness and self-care. It is called Lina and was created with the idea of building a place where aesthetic medicine, prevention, and awareness can coexist in a gentle and respectful way, in tune with personal identity. Inside the clinic, non-invasive and non-permanent regenerative and aesthetic treatments are offered, designed to accompany each person naturally, without altering their features or changing their expression. The founders Marielena and Mariavittoria promote an idea of soft, free, and personal beauty, far from extreme standards and closer to individual wellbeing, personal timing, and individual needs.
A space for inner care beyond aesthetics: Lina in Milan
Alongside its aesthetic dimension, Lina has also developed a dedicated space for inner care, with the aim of working on self-esteem, body and emotional awareness, and fostering a more compassionate perspective toward oneself and contemporary social pressures. In a culture that constantly pushes women to chase youth, perfection, and control, Lina seeks to slow down this mechanism, reminding us that beauty does not come only from outward appearance, but above all from an authentic sense of acceptance, balance, and inner wellbeing.
Lina’s first group therapy program
From this vision, Lina launched its first group therapy program, initially starting with a female group of four participants, structured into eight sessions and led by Carolina, a Jungian-trained psychotherapist. The sessions take place every Tuesday from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM in Lina’s living room, an intimate and protected space where participants can freely share and reflect on topics such as self-esteem, relationships, anxiety, identity, body image, vulnerability, and personal growth. At the core of the project is the belief that group work has strong therapeutic value, as interaction with others functions as a mirror. It helps participants understand that there are perspectives different from their own and that many insecurities, fragilities, and fears they may feel ashamed of are part of a shared human experience. The group creates a sense of belonging, helps people feel less alone, and allows them to recognize themselves in others, within a safe, intimate, and judgment-free environment.
New groups and a more inclusive vision of wellbeing
After this first cycle, Lina will introduce new group formats led by professionals with different approaches: programs focused on stress and mind-body connection with a psychosomatic specialist, sessions on conscious sexuality with a sexologist, and groups also dedicated to men, designed to create emotionally safe spaces where they can express themselves without the weight of masculinity stereotypes. The project is based on the idea that many gender stereotypes contribute to distance, loneliness, and communication barriers in contemporary relationships. For this reason, Lina aims to promote a more inclusive, conscious, and human culture of wellbeing, where mental and emotional health are considered an integral part of self-care. For Lina, beauty does not equal perfection, but rather the ability to feel at ease in one’s own body, learning first of all to inhabit it with respect, balance, and love.
