Olfattorio Bar à Parfums exclusively presents Decision and Existence, the new fragrances by Amouage inspired by a very special journey. The two creations stem from an experience lived by the brand’s creative director, Renaud Salmon, which inspired him to transform the emotions he felt into two intense and opposite fragrances, yet connected by a deep bond: the sense of infinity.

A journey full of inspiration

The Eternity chapter of Amouage’s Odyssey collection is inspired by a personal experience of Renaud Salmon, the brand’s creative director. During his climb of Jebel Shams, Oman’s highest mountain, Salmon was struck by two distinct moments: the oddly shaped juniper trees, which inspire local stories and legends, and reaching the summit, where the landscape seemed suspended between sky and clouds. “I knew I was connected to the earth, yet I felt like I was floating. The disorientation was intense but, strangely, I felt calm and free,” he recalls. From this mix of intense and hard-to-describe emotions came the idea to turn that journey into fragrances, creating with perfumer Quentin Bisch the scents Decision and Existence—two opposite essences deeply linked by the sense of infinity Renaud Salmon experienced that day.
