A new Nike by Matthew Williams yoga collection
Avant-garde pieces featuring the Swoosh and MMW logo for intensive sessions
December 13th, 2021
The collaboration between Nike and Matthew Williams, which began in 2018 and continued during 2021 with a series of sneaker drops, is now about to get a new chapter. In these days, the creative director of Givenchy and founder of the brand 1017 Alyx 9sm has shared on his Instagram account some photos teasing the coming of a new collection with the US sportswear giant dedicated to the world of yoga. The campaign was presented in Milan at Spazio Maiocchi on December 12, with the presence of the designer and a celebrity audience, and has as its guest star Ramla Ali, IMG Models member, boxeur and #BlackLivesMAtter movement activist Ramla Ali.
Although no details about the items have been revealed yet, from the vintage-looking images we can predict that the capsule, called 005 MMW YOGA, will include Dri-Fit tops, leggings, socks, headbands and mats, all featuring the Swoosh and the MMW logo. Highlights will feature shorts and leggings with Williams' famous Cobra belt to which is attached a small towel perfect for wiping away sweat after a yoga session. Also cool is the jacket with a high collar, adjustable cuffs, two-way zipper and a removable three-piece hood that offers options to add or remove layers of protection based on weather conditions and style preferences.
The 005 MMW YOGA collection will officially be launched on December 20. Stay tuned to G-club for more details on the release.
