The new fragrances by Chopova Lowena are here Three fragrances inspired by the scents of their native land

Chopova Lowena, one of the most beloved and innovative independent brands in the London scene, has just launched a new line of fragrances, consisting of three exclusive perfumes and three candles, perfectly reflecting their signature mix of tradition and nonconformity.

Who is Chopova Lowena

Chopova Lowena is a brand created by the Anglo-Bulgarian duo Emma Chopova and Laura Lowena-Irons, who have successfully blended tradition and innovation, merging elements ranging from Bulgarian folklore to 1980s sportswear. The brand stands out for its anthropological approach to design, which celebrates and modernizes traditional techniques and fabrics, creating unique and hybrid pieces. With a strong commitment to sustainability, Chopova Lowena uses recycled materials and deadstock fabrics, such as pillowcases and aprons, giving them new life. A key aspect of their philosophy is the work ethic: the brand supports female artisans in Bulgaria, providing them with job opportunities and contributing to the preservation and renewal of cultural heritage through craftsmanship. With their commitment to responsible consumption, Emma and Laura encourage reflection on the importance of valuing work, time, and environmental impact, offering pieces that are not only beautiful but also deeply meaningful.

Chopova Lowena: The Fragrances

The new perfume line by Chopova Lowena celebrates the land of origin of the two designers, Bulgaria, by using flowers and herbs native to the region. Queen Rosa, Rosa is Queen is a rose and sandalwood fragrance, a floral, woody, and musky mix with notes of bergamot and pink pepper. Hay Zhasminal, warmer and more enveloping, combines amber and wood with notes of jasmine, fennel, and ylang-ylang. Finally, Great Root, Green Ruth, with notes of vetiver and Bulgarian geranium, which according to Bulgarian tradition brings good luck, evokes the purity and serenity of the countryside. These three fragrances are also available in candle form, crafted in a Bulgarian ceramics studio in Troyan.
