Sanremo 2022: the best outfits and beauty looks of the third evening

From Emma's beautiful lipstick to Noemi's cut-out dress

Sanremo 2022: the best outfits and beauty looks of the third evening From Emma's beautiful lipstick to Noemi's cut-out dress

The third and longest night of Sanremo 2022 is over. All the 25 singers in the competition performed, alternated by the conduction of Amadeus and the elegant and wise Drusilla Foer, but the real highlights were the performances of Cesare Cremonini and Gaia in a hot look created by Francesco Murano, a young designer whose fans include Beyoncé. After almost five hours of live broadcasting, what remains? The irony of Orietta Berti who, in a triumph of yellow tulle by Rochas, exclaimed: "I'm a powder puff, we artists use powder a lot". And then? Emma and Elisa, queens of style and talent. Blanco and Mahmood kings.

Here are the best outfits and beauty looks of Sanremo 2022's third night.

Highsnob & Hu

Brand: MM6 Maison Margiela

Look: A formula that works can't be changed. Highsnob & Hu are back on stage and replicate the look of the second night, with small variations and layering. But when during the performance comes the moment they embrace, all that matters is the interesting styling by Sabrina Mellace and the outfit by MM6 Maison Margiela, only the emotions they communicate.

Aka 7even

Brand: Stella Mccartney

Look: After a suit with an all-over print, Aka 7even opts for a delicate baby pink Stella Mccartney suit with a twist thanks to the white boots with contrasting black soles. He's cute, but something about the proportions of the outfit didn't work.

Irama

Brand: Givenchy

Look: Wet hair, eyes as clear as the summer sky and a Givenchy outfit that, like Matthew Williams' style, mixes utilitarian and sartorial. Cool. We are curious to see what he will wear tomorrow night, the day of duets and covers, during which he will perform with Gianluca Grignani to sing La mia storia tra le dita.

Ditonellapiaga and Rettore

Brand: Philosophy byLorenzo Serafini e Stefano De Lellis

Look: They stick to matchy matchy outfits in optical B&W versions. Rettore opted for flared trousers and a jacket with oversized, floaty sleeves, while Ditonellapiaga chose black maxi overall and a white lace shirt. Can we say that, although Ditonellapiaga is talented and pretty again tonight, we preferred her in the power suit we saw last night?

Michele Bravi

Brand: Roberto Cavalli by Fausto Puglisi

Look: From total black to total red, always Roberto Cavalli by Fausto Puglisi: trousers, tops and sleeves with 3D floral decorations. Fire!

Rkomi

Brand: Etro

Look: The references are clear, the De Niro of Taxi Driver and the rebellious biker à la Marlon Brando in the cult movie The Wild One, but even a little bit Trent Reznor. And this evening Nick Cerioni's styling works better than on the first night: studded and fringed trousers and long gloves, both in leather, plus a white tee. But he still hasn't found the winning outfit.

Mahmood & Blanco

Brand: Ann Demeulemeester Valentino

Look: When they come down the stairs of the Ariston, the first in a fabulous white suit by Ann Demeulemeester, the second in total black with a see-through effect cape by Maison Valentino, the heart stops. Song, look, performance: perfect. Their alchemy has a disruptive effect. Chapeux also to stylists Susanna Ausoni and Tiny Idols.

Elisa

Brand: Valentino

Look: Still in white, even more minimal. The second look created by Pierpaolo Piccioli for Maison Valentino is beautiful, free of useless elements and, like the essential graphics of the white eyeliner, enhances Elisa's voice. A small pearl that shines by its own light, also thanks to Susanna Ausoni's styling.

Tananai

Brand: Dior

Look: Tananai performs Occasional Sex (a song written by Alessandro Raina, former voice of Giardini di Mirò, which we suggest you add to your Spotify playlists) in a tuxedo crop jacket, over a tank top and jeans. All Dior by Kim Jones and featuring a bleached effect. We look forward to seeing the third look.

Rappresentante di Lista

Brand: Moschino

Look: The pink punk version of Philip and Elizabeth. Veronica and Dario bring to the stage a disruptive, irreverent look that seems a parody of the old-fashioned elegance that many link to Sanremo and, above all, a sound that gets into the brain and makes the hips sway. Ciao, Ciao. P.S. This season, long gloves are a must-have.

Achille Lauro

Brand: Gucci

Look: Achille Lauro opted for a Billie Idol look with an 80s echo: cropped jacket and leather trousers. As always by Gucci with styling by Nick Cerioni. And as always, he's bare-chested and barefoot. We expect more from him.

Ana Mena

Brand: Emporio Armani

Look: Sydney Sweeney from Euphoria to the Sanremo stage. Ana Mena in black top and miniskirt and shining by Emporio Armani is, like us, a fan of the HBO series, but to join Cassie and Rue's crew next time she should go for statement make-up and a more incisive outfit.

Emma

Brand: Gucci

Look: Sanremo 2022 is the hallmark of an empowered and confident Emma, able to play with her womanhood. With make-up that focuses on a beautiful burgundy lipstick and a Gucci outfit. Tonight she took to the stage in a midi skirt in the same shade as her lips, an antique pink bra with a sort of lace shawl over it and, like last time, fishnet stockings and pump sandals. Perhaps the look would have worked better without the shawl. In any case, Emma confirms herself as queen of Sanremo together with Elisa. The Plus? Francesca Michielin conducting the orchestra in Miu Miu.

Noemi

Brand: Alberta Ferretti

Look: After an ethereal debut, Noemi came back in a black cut-out dress by Alberta Ferretti. Just one word: stunning!

Sangiovanni

Brand: Diesel

Look: Sangiovanni is back with a variation of his custom outfit made by Diesel, this time in a softer pink. Super cute. Meet our Timothée Chalamet.
