What Women Don't Want LELO Research Reveals What Makes Intimacy Really Satisfying

We often wonder what our partner likes under the sheets, but much more rarely do we wonder what they don't like. It is precisely from this question that the new research commissioned by LELO to AstraRicerche was born, which analyzes the aspects of couple sexuality least appreciated by Italian women. The survey gives a clear picture: the problem does not only concern a particular sexual practice or the duration of the relationship, but above all the feeling of not being listened to. The women interviewed describe the rejection of a sexuality experienced as mechanical, oriented exclusively to the partner's pleasure and devoid of emotional harmony. On the contrary, the desire for reciprocity, respect for the times and attention to one's needs emerges.

Hygiene, listening and participation: the basics of female pleasure

Partner hygiene is the most important element for living intimacy positively: 81.3% of the interviewees consider it an essential requirement. Immediately afterwards, the partner's behavior is placed, indicated by 68.5% of the sample as a determining factor for the quality of the experience, even before sexual performance. Among the most criticized aspects, the lack of listening emerges: about eight out of ten women say they suffer from it during intercourse. Even the responsibility for pleasure should not fall solely on the partner: 71.4% find a passive attitude on the part of the partner unpleasant, while 69.8% consider clitoral stimulation essential, a percentage that rises to 74.6% among women between 18 and 29 years old. Even the attitudes that are too dominant or impulsive, indicated as unwelcome by 65.1% of the interviewees, are not convincing, as are the excessively intense pressures, judged unpleasant by 53.6% of the sample.

The ideal environment? Clean, private and comfortable

The research highlights how the context also plays a fundamental role in the quality of the sexual experience. For 50.3% of women, the environment represents one of the main factors that can compromise the relationship. The most disturbing element is the poor cleanliness of the place (70.5%), followed by the lack of privacy (60.2%). Public toilets are not welcome by 55.3% of the interviewees, while 49.6% avoid public or semi-public places. Overall, a concept of intimacy emerges strongly linked to comfort, security and the possibility of living in the moment without fear of interruptions or external intrusions. More than the place itself, the feeling of being protected matters.

Rhythm matters more than duration

One of the most common misconceptions concerns the duration of sexual intercourse. According to the results of the research, however, the problem is not so much that the relationship is too short or too long, but rather the lack of harmony between the partners. 50.6% of women consider excessively long and boring relationships unpleasant, while 49.8% negatively judge those that are too fast compared to their time. Even more significant is the loss of emotional involvement during the relationship, indicated by 70.5% of the interviewees. The lack of respect for the timing of female arousal represents another critical element: 56.4% complain of a lack of attention to this aspect, 43.2% consider it unpleasant to start penetration before being really aroused and 32.2% refuse the pressure to reach orgasm.

LELO responds with the new INATM Thrust

Starting from the results that emerged from the research, LELO presents INATM Thrust, the new rabbit vibrator developed to offer intense internal stimulation that respects the times and sensations of the body. The product is launched with the claim “Thrust We Can Trust”, underlining the idea of an effective but not aggressive push. The device integrates the patented DynamicThrust™ technology, which offers variable movements inspired by the human touch, overcoming the mechanical effect typical of many similar products. Through the dedicated app it is possible to access different movement patterns, modulating speed, depth and intensity. The presence of two independent motors allows you to combine internal and external stimulation, while Smoothrise™ technology makes intensity variations progressive and natural. INATM Thrust offers eight modes of use, sixteen intensity levels, is waterproof, rechargeable via USB and is available in Black and Twilight Purple.

A research that focuses on listening

Rather than indicating a list of welcome or unwelcome practices, the research highlights a cultural change in the perception of female sexuality. Women demand greater listening, reciprocity and emotional involvement, elements that affect the quality of the experience more than just performance. A message that invites us to consider pleasure as the result of attention, communication and harmony between partners.
