Desigual and Botter present High Tides A unisex collection that combines the Mediterranean with the Caribbean

Desigual and Botter unveil "High Tides", their first unisex collection. Born from the collaboration between the Spanish brand’s design team and designers Lisi Herrebrugh and Rushemy Botter, this capsule marks a new chapter in Desigual’s evolution. The unifying theme and meeting point? The sea, of course.
Desigual is already a well-known and beloved brand, especially thanks to the campaign with Ester Expósito, but have you heard of Botter? Herrebrugh and Botter blend multicultural influences with Belgian and Dutch tailoring mastery, creating a personal vision of luxury that is provocative yet inclusive. Botter is a window into their personal diary, an opinion about the world expressed with clarity and color.
The sea as a universal language
But let’s get back to the collection. The "High Tides" capsule draws from Botter’s Caribbean heritage and Desigual’s Mediterranean soul, using water as its central metaphor. The sea becomes a symbol of fluidity, transformation, and connection: even though geography may divide us, emotions, culture, and humanity bring us together. The collection tells a story of global connection, expressed through fragmented forms that find harmony. It’s a dialogue between identities and territories, between Caribbean sensitivity and Barcelona roots. Each piece embodies a spirit of recreation, where separate elements merge to create a bold and expressive language.
Desigual’s iconic patchwork intertwines with Botter’s innovative approach to create bold, layered, and human silhouettes. The inspiration from Arte Povera is reflected in raw hems, exposed seams, unfinished textures, and a handmade aesthetic. Even the accessories align with the concept: bags that resemble airbags or flotation devices, embroidery moved by the wind, asymmetric stitching, and exposed inner layers that evoke depth.
Blue at the center (with a focus on sustainability)
The vibrant blue -Botter’s signature hue - runs through the entire collection in various shades: saturated, aquatic, deep, or electric. Sculptural yet dynamic volumes are paired with prints that capture moments of transition: a crashing wave, a leap, a fading shadow. Each garment is an invitation to explore. It can be layered, taken apart, mixed, or reinterpreted: clothing that adapts to the wearer, not the other way around.
The collection was developed with an ethical approach: Desigual and Botter have integrated recycled fabrics, reused plastic sequins, and certified sustainable materials. The production process prioritizes traceability and environmental impact reduction, in line with both brands’ commitment to more conscious fashion.
