Puma e Modibodi launch the perfect item to practice sports during period La collezione per risolvere il problema di 1 ragazza su 5 che abbandona lo sport a causa del ciclo

Embarrassment, pain and fears related to the menstrual cycle are the main reasons why 1 in 5 girls quit sports in their teenage years according to a global survey conducted by PUMA and Modibodi on the occasion of the launch of the leak-proof underwear collection, a sustainable brand that produces underwear and activewear for the well-being of women. The survey found that a lack of information and innovation in the cycle device industry creates profound discomfort, especially on a psychological level and especially for athletes at the amateur and non-amateur level. The collection between PUMA x Modibodi® creates a substitute for disposable and internal tampons to promote absolute comfort while playing without having to think about possible leakage: thongs, briefs and boyshorts in dark slate and grape wine include a single thin layer of 3 mm with Modifier Technology™ absorbent technology that wicks away moisture, blocks liquids and odors ensuring activewear that gives a pleasant feeling of freshness and dryness without the hassle of disposable devices.

"It's time to break the silence and help women and girls stay comfortable and active even during their cycle. What's great about the PUMA x Modibodi collection is that it's specifically designed to make it more possible than ever to play sports during your cycle."

Ali Riley, New Zealand PUMA athlete and captain of the Football Ferns thus affirms the need to evolve menstruation-related devices to promote women's well-being in all fields and overcome the view of the cycle as a taboo subject, even for marketing. "It's critical to normalize menstruation and address the stigma that women can't be active, even athletically and competitively during their periods," says Kristy Chong, CEO and Founder of Modibodi.

Menstrual poverty is another topic not to be underestimated, because not everyone has access to devices to use during their cycle, which is why PUMA and Modibodi will work with PUMA's charity partner She Moves Us, Women Win, to donate packs to 500 girls and women in need. "Changing the world should be as easy as changing your underwear. Waste-free, leak-free, worry-free protection," confirms Kristy Chong, CEO and Founder of Modibodi.

The collection is already available on the site in all shades.
