For make-up addicts, beauty week lasts all year round. In fact, those who use brushes as frequently as cutlery know that continuous training is the key to always mastering new styles and learning new techniques. Precisely for this reason, there are some dates worth writing down on the calendar. On 16 and 17 October 2026, a special Editorial Make-Up Masterclass will be held at New Line Academy Florence, an academy dedicated to professional training in the world of beauty (in collaboration with Blend Management).

Vanessa Icareg teaches her secrets in Florence

The protagonist of the project is the make-up artist Vanessa Geraci, aka Icareg. Milanese with Sicilian origins, the artist has collaborated with the most iconic brands in the international fashion, luxury and beauty sectors such as Hermès, Valentino, Versace, Maison Margiela and many others. Given his great experience in the world of magazines, Icareg's Masterclass was designed to go beyond simple technical demonstration and turn into a real editorial production experience, exploring make-up as a visual language, capable of dialoguing with styling, photography, light, color and texture.

But there are also stylists and photographers.

Supporting the creative will be the Fashion Director & Stylist Giorgia Imbrenda and the photographer Marta Marinotti. The first will deal with the styling and construction of the image of the project, while the second will shoot the final works, creating a full-fledged editorial set. On the first day, Vanessa will share her creative process through the creation of two editorial looks: from the search for references to the final rendering in front of the lens. The second day will instead be dedicated to experimentation and production, where a small group of participants will work on the models starting from a creative direction, and then develop their own interpretation through make-up, styling and photography.

“This is a project that wants to bring training, research and industry into dialogue, offering participants the opportunity to confront the real dynamics of the production of a contemporary fashion & beauty image”: explained Giorgia Imbrenda. If the beauty-verse is the only planet you want to live on, then you know which dates to mark on the October agenda.
