Anya Taylor-Joy dressed as Princess Peach and it's immediately cartooncore

What happens when the Motomami aesthetic meets cartooncore? As Botticelli's Venus is born from her shell, Anya Taylor-Joy steps onto the red carpet in a pink leather cloud. Wearing a Dior-designed biker suit, the actress pranced down the red carpet at the premiere of Super Mario Bros. A modern-day Princess Peach in the film that some critics have called a true love letter to the Nintendo video game, inviting a new generation to discover the world of Super Mario. The plot follows Mario, played by Chris Pratt, Princess Peach with Anya Taylor-Joy, Bowser, played by Jack Black, and Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong.

When Anya Taylor-Joy walks the red carpet, she always does so with a statement of purpose, a specific inspiration, a story behind each look. And so, in Los Angeles, the actress embodied the iconic Super Mario Bros. character in a head-to-toe pink ensemble. If you have ever happened to play Super Mario, you know that Peach has always embodied the stereotype of the princess to be rescued, looking harmless, graceful and, most importantly, moving slowly in her classic pink tulle dress. But the story is changing and Anya is proof of that. The actress opted for pink in its boldest version, with a biker-style leather jumpsuit by Dior, a fashion house for which she is a testimonial.

A perfect mix of motomami and cartooncore, between Mario Kart and Mario Bros, Anya Taylor-Joy completed her look with biker gloves and matching boots. The long hair was left loose in soft waves and parted by a perfect centre parting, true to Anya's style. This time it was finally Princess Peach who saved us all, especially the fashion.
