Timothée Chalamet and Haider Ackermann share a relationship that goes beyond friendship or simple esteem. The Colombian-born designer's clothes have become a must-have in the actor's wardrobe and have helped refine his #softboyaesthetic to the point of turning him into one of the coolest stars of the moment. How can we forget the black glittery outfit worn for the premiere of Dune at the Venice Film Festival 2021 or the white one with cropped jacket chosen for the red carpet of the last Met Gala? Now, in fact, the two have decided to join forces for a good cause by making a sweatshirt to turn the spotlight on the tragic situation in Afghanistan, as Chalamet explained on his Instagram account:

So for a couple of years now @h.a and I have been wanting to make something,” Chalamet wrote on his Instagram. “Together, in August, we were horrified to learn of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan and decided to design a hoodie where 100% of the proceeds will go to @afghanistanlibre, a relief organization with boots on the ground that fights to safeguard women’s and children’s rights — as those atrocities continue to spread, we should amplify the voices of those silent soldiers.

The hoodie, which represents the Call Me By Your Name star's first fashion collaboration, is white with a blue Pollock-esque design outlining part of a female face. It also features the words "Silent Soldier" and "HA+TC A Common Thread" on the print. All proceeds from the garment, which is on sale for $175 at www.hatc2021.com, will go to Afghanistan Libre.

Now, many are wondering if Timothée Chalamet's partnership with Haider Ackermann will be a one-time event, driven by the need to act concretely for charity, or will it pave the way for a series of new fashion collaborations for the actor. Definitely, there are plenty of luxury brands that would like Timmy as an ambassador or co-creator.
