Gwen Stefani's 10 most iconic looks Inspired by the TBT moments in the new Let Me Reintroduce Myself video

Gwen Stefani is back. Not the coach of The Voice US, the accomplished woman who sings country songs along with her boyfriend with Blake Shelton. Or at least not alone. The California star presented the new single Let Me Reintroduce Myself, the first unreleased since 2016's This Is What The Truth Feels Like, with a throwback time video that gives us back the Gwen of No Doubt, the strong, independent and stylish girl we all wanted to be in the 90s and early 2000s.

The images show the most iconic looks of the singer who, as if not even one day had passed (instead more than twenty years have passed), wears again the blue dress with white polka dots of Don't Speak; she first dyes her hair blue, combined with a plush bikini of the same shade, as on the red carpet of the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards and then bright pink as in the period of the album Return of Saturn; shows off her perfect abs in her most famous combo, i.e. crop top and baggy pants as in the hits Just a Girl in 1995 and Hollaback Girl in 2004; opts for the same Raffaella Carrà style platinum blonde bob of The Sweet Escape; turns into Alice in Wonderland as when she performed surrounded by a group of Harajuku Girls during the period of What You Waiting For?.

Unique, bold, fun, unconventional. Gwen Stefani's style has influenced an entire generation and still inspires those who on IG and Tik Tok carefully study her outfits, that unique mash-up, constantly hovering between girlie girl and tomboy, made of baggy pants, crop tops, mix'n match prints, red lipstick and a lot of attitude. She never followed trends. She invented them. Like other Riot girls of the time, she turned the canons of femininity upside down by following her own personal aesthetic, combining everything from 80's punk to Old Hollywood glamour, from hip hop to ska, from manga to Mods. She dyed her hair with pop colors; she played with jewel make-up; she showed up at the opening of Dior's New York boutique showing not a perfect smile, but her orthodontic braces as if they were the chicest of accessories; she played the role of a Jean Harlow style diva as well as the tough girl who didn't have to give up glitter and lipstick to be believable, teaching us all that we could be whoever we wanted, even more than one girl at the same time.
