Ecoalf x Desigual's 100% sustainable collection

Reuse, reinterpret, rethink, relove

Ecoalf x Desigual's 100% sustainable collection Reuse, reinterpret, rethink, relove

30 years ago, it turned second-hand jeans into jackets. Today, Desigual launches, in collaboration with Ecoalf, its first 100% sustainable collection. The two Iberian brands have joined forces to create a series of garments designed for the winter season but able to last for a long time, thanks to their distinctive features and a look that combines color and padded style. It is a selection of 9 garments for men and women composed of fabrics and fibers made from waste and recycled raw materials such as discarded fishing nets, used tires, recycled cotton and plastic dispersed in the seas and oceans.

The capsules include down jackets, two backpacks, a double face hat and even a pair of very special slip-on sneakers, featuring an upper that is the result of five plastic bottles. In addition, there will also be limited edition tailored jackets, which combine the brand's denim on one side and a puffer effect on the other. The new collection is just the first step in Desigual's commitment to sustainability. The brand has announced that 11% of the SS20 collection and 20% of the FW20 collection will be eco-friendly.
