What's in my bag: beach beauty case edition All the essentials to bring with you to the beach or pool

As with any occasion, whether it’s a festival or a day trip, there are also some essential products to take with you to the beach. We’re not talking about a book to read, headphones to listen to music, or a deck of cards, which of course help pass the time, but rather real, indispensable beauty allies to face a day at the sea or pool and be ready for anything.
What's in my bag: beach beauty case edition
Sunscreens, obvious
In case you haven’t heard, sunburns have been out of style for years. Protecting your skin is the trendiest thing you can do. Don’t be afraid to use an SPF 50 sunscreen: you’ll still tan, but much more safely. Beyond cosmetic protection, my bag always includes some must-have clothing to shield myself from the sun during the hottest hours, like a hat and a lightweight shirt, especially if, like me, you always forget to bring a beach umbrella.
Lip stain
Wearing makeup to the beach is always a controversial topic. Of course, it’s better to avoid foundation and concealer, basically, no full face. But one thing I personally can’t give up is a touch of color on my lips. Luckily, lip stains come to the rescue: you apply them in the morning, and they stay perfect until the evening, no need for constant touch-ups.
Hair protection
The sun doesn’t just damage our skin, but also our hair. That’s why it’s essential to protect it with specific sun sprays. One thing I recently discovered is that even heat protectants you use before styling can work great at the beach, as long as they contain a UV-filtering ingredient in their INCI, like Benzophenone-4.
Hair oil or moisturizing cream
Besides the sun, chlorine and sea salt can seriously damage and dry out your hair. To protect your locks, after swimming, if possible, rinse your hair with fresh water and then apply a hydrating oil or a nourishing leave-in conditioner to avoid going home with dry, brittle hair.
Face mist
Face mists will be your summer game changer! If you still haven’t experienced the incredible feeling of a fresh face mist spritz on your face, what are you waiting for? Go get one now! There are so many types you’ll easily find the one for you: from rose water, to centella asiatica, all the way to aloe. They’re perfect to refresh your face after a long beach volleyball match or a sunbathing session.
