The best beauty looks of the 2022 Grammy Awards

From Dua Lipa's new hair look to Lady Gaga's Old Hollywood glamour

The best beauty looks of the 2022 Grammy Awards From Dua Lipa's new hair look to Lady Gaga's Old Hollywood glamour

Last night, singers and musicians gathered at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas for the 64th Grammy Awards, offering us a good dose of glamour and sparkle. While the Oscars were all about whispering elegance and no make-up, the stars of the music world opted for bling-bling looks, dark accents and tributes to Hollywood's Golden Age. The style of the great divas of the past inspired both St. Vincent, in a glittery pink dress from Gucci's SS22 collection edged with a cascade of ruffles, combined with make-up in the same shades, and Lady Gaga who arrived on the red carpet in a black and white one-shoulder Armani Privé dress accessorized with Tiffany & Co.'s Potager Leaves necklace, before changing for the performance in an equally retro Elie Saab teal dress. The highlight of her beauty is the feline gaze recreated by Sarah Tanno for Haus Labs using a lot of black eyeliner and extra-long lashes, while Frederic Aspiras has gathered the singer's hair on top of her head, leaving a few well-defined ringlets on her forehead. The same old style vibes, but in a dark lady version, are those evoked by Halsey, a refined femme fatale in a Pressiat creation, selected for her by @luxurylaw, and red lipstick that seems to echo the color of her hair.

The other star to wear red lips (which veered towards burgundy) at this year's Grammys was Dua Lipa. The Levitating singer, who showed up with a new XXL blonde hair with dark roots created by hairstylist Chris Appleton, wore an archival Versace from the Miss S&M Fall/ Winter 1992 collection (styled by Lorenzo Posocco), which was also worn by Cindy Crawford at the 1992 VMAs. Dua was the real fashion and very Versace star of the evening, recreating, together with Megan Thee Stallion, the historic gag of the 1998 MTV VMAs, when Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, considered enemies at the time, appeared on stage in the same Vera Wang dress. This time Donatella Versace solved the style diatribe by turning the singers' looks into two similar but different black slip dress and latex leggings combos.

Dua and Megan weren't the only celebrities to go for a fetish look. Billie Eilish in Rick Owens, Avril Lavigne, Kourtney Kardashian hand in hand with Travis Barker (she in Et Ochs, he in Givenchy) and Olivia Rodrigo who wore a Vivienne Westwood bustier dress with black opera gloves. Her make-up, inspired by the punk-glam of the 90s supermodels, was created by Lilly Keys entirely with Glossier products such as the Monochromes (Mist) palette and Ultralip Villa

The other guests at the 2022 Grammys, starting with Paris Hilton in a nude Atelier Zuhra dress, worn with a very high tail and graphic eyeliner, opted for an almost princely sparkle. Rachel Zegler, who we will soon see in the role of Snow White in the Disney live-action film, opted for a Dior Haute Couture tulle dress, Tiffany & Co. jewelry, smokey eyes and red lipstick. As beautiful and elegant as ever, Hailey Bieber wore a white Saint Laurent, ultra-low braid, and no make-up by Mary Philips for Pat McGrath Labs. A cascade of Tiffany & Co. diamonds illuminated her beauty.

Fun fact: Doja Cat's make-up done by Ernesto Casillas included products from the new Bridgerton Pat McGrath Labs collection.
