The History of Mango, the Spanish Brand That Conquered the World

Did you know that the brand’s first website launched in 1995, and the online store followed in 2000? And that in addition to Mango Man and Violeta, the plus-size line, there are also home products and Mango Teen? Speaking of the men's line: in the early years, it featured footballer Zinedine Zidane as its ambassador. Later, stars like Kate Moss, Anna Ewers, Miranda Kerr, and many others followed. As if that weren’t enough, Mango is one of the favorite brands of Letizia Ortiz, Princess of Asturias.

Mango Today

Today, the brand boasts over 2,700 stores in 110 countries. While Spain remains its main market, Turkey has the highest number of stores. In 2021, Mango opened its first stores in New York, New Jersey, and Miami. By 2023, it had expanded to 17 African countries. In 2024, to celebrate its 40th anniversary, Mango will release a capsule collection with Victoria Beckham for Spring/Summer.

Into The New, Mango’s latest collection, embodies this spirit by giving timeless basics a fresh, modern twist through new fabrics and textures. The collection features monochromatic looks in a neutral color palette—beige, white, pale yellow, and light mauve—crafted with layering to adapt to varying temperatures, ensuring warmth and comfort without compromising style. Soft textures like wool knit and felt are paired with more technical materials, creating a versatile range that blends tailored, structured pieces with sporty elements.
