Megan Fox wrote a book of poems about "toxic" men

"Pretty Boys Are Poisonous" will be about how certain relationships change us until we lose ourselves... a reference to Machine Gun Kelly?

After Millie Bobby Brown and Britney Spears, another celebrity is about to make her debut in the world of literature: Megan Fox. The Jennifer Body star has announced the publication of a book of poetry entitled Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, which is due for release in the autumn and is already available for pre-order on Amazon. It comprises 176 pages and more than 70 poems, which the publisher Simon & Schuster describes as "heartbreaking and dark" and which "showcase her wicked humor."

What will be the subject of the poems?

The publisher's advance notice states that Pretty Boys Are Poisonous "explores all the ways in which we fit ourselves into the shape of the ones we love, even if it means losing ourselves in the process". About her creative process and inspirations, Megan says: "These poems were written in an attempt to excise the illness that had taken root in me because of my silence. I've spent my entire life keeping the secrets of men, my body aches from carrying the weight of their sins. My freedom lives in these pages, and I hope that my words can inspire others to take back their happiness and their identity by using their voice to illuminate what's been buried, but not forgotten, in the darkness."

Will "Pretty Boys Are Poisonous" be about Machine Gun Kelly?

Rumours and the title of Megan Fox's literary debut suggest that the book may be about, or at least inspired by, the actress's past and present relationships, particularly with Beverly Hills: 90210 star Brian Austin Green, with whom she has three children, and the younger one with Machine Gun Kelly. Both love stories were tumultuous and full of constant ups and downs, so when Fox deleted all photos with MGK from her Instagram account in recent months, it looked like the two had broken up for good. However, anonymous sources claim that the couple are going through a positive phase at the moment and are talking about getting married again. It is therefore likely that Megan will not directly mention her former partners in the book, but toxic male figures she has encountered throughout her life and career, as she has spoken out in the past about the misogyny she has endured in Hollywood.

When will "Pretty Boys Are Poisonous" be published?

The book, published by Simon & Schuster, hits shops on 7 November, but is already available for pre-order on Amazon.
