Barbie fever has officially broken out. Ever since the first trailer for Greta Gerwig's film Barbie was released last December, audiences have been eager like crazy to see how the most popular doll of all time will be told on the big screen, and Mattel and Warner Bros, the film's producers, have capitalised on this incredible attention. Every detail has been tailored to make this Barbie's summer. From Margot Robbie's looks on the promo tour, to the soundtrack featuring names like Dua Lipa, Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice, to Ryan Gosling and his "Ken energy" MerchTainment's first big deal was the renovation of the Malibu Dreamhouse in the hills of Malibu, which is being rented out via Airbnb for the film's release on 21 July (20 July in Italy!). But there are plenty more pink collaborations to flood the market and whet the buying appetite of collectors and fans alike.
