How to pull off the perfect indie rock festival makeup at Coachella (and beyond) The most important products for a make-up in the style of the music festival

Coachella officially opens the festival season. This year, the California desert will once again be transformed into an epicenter of glamor and live performances from April 14-23 as thousands of people from around the world gather in Indio, California, to enjoy the music, the art and the unique Coachella experience. But Coachella is not just a music festival; it's also a showcase for fashion and beauty. Festival makeup, in particular, has become an increasingly popular trend in recent years. Many celebrities and influencers show creative and colorful looks on social media.

Makeup for the occasion often focuses on bright colors and bold shades, using glitter, rhinestones and decorative stones to create a unique and eye-catching look. Holographic lights, glitter, bright colors and unusual combinations help create a beauty look that is somewhere between fantasy and hippie, moving between 1970s boho chic and modern trends.

Glitter is the real star, applied all over the face, cheekbones, eyes, lips and even in the hair or on the body. The effect is so strong that some cover their chest only with glitter and rhinestones, without wearing a real top. Those who are less daring, concentrate them around the eye, but also underneath... it would be a perfect everyday trend to hide dark circles under the eyes effortlessly! On the other hand, to create a Coachella makeup full of glitter, you can limit yourself only to the moving eyelid and apply it in smaller amounts and fine grains. For example, make up black or dark smokey eyes and apply some tone-on-tone or duochrome glitter in the center. Try it also in the outer corner of the eye, but also inside the eye and, with light colors, as a highlight. The other "dictate" of Coachella is color: coral and orange tones, blues, especially electric and fluorescent yellow! Green light for new multicolor makeup palettes, but also for colored eyeliners to create a double wing in the crease of the eyelid and then apply multireflective glitter in the center.

Primer? Just glow, perhaps with a bronzing earth applied in place of foundation. Start with a large brush: pick up a little product at a time, shake the brush to avoid excess, and apply several times so that the result is as even as possible. The movements should be light and circular, from the center of the face to the outside, including the neck. Once you have applied a veil of earth all over the face and lightly evened out the complexion, you now need to give three-dimensionality to the face, which would otherwise look flat. So use a smaller brush, the blush brush, and apply the earth only on the cheeks and temples.
