The 5 beauty trends spotted at Milan Fashion Week

Lips are finally back in the spotlight. Along with killer lengths in the hair

The 5 beauty trends spotted at Milan Fashion Week Lips are finally back in the spotlight. Along with killer lengths in the hair

Needless to tell you about wet effects in the hair and natural skin, in perfect Milanese style. These hair & make-up trends are ubiquitous on the Milanese catwalks, season after season. This time, however, the skin was given an extra glow, and the credit for that goes mainly to the official partner of Milan Fashion Week, namely the vegan skincare brand Sunday Riley, which prepared the models' faces thanks to the hands of facialists Erica Monteiro and Craig Starling and the new product Afterglow, soon to be on sale in Italy as well. With the spring-summer 2023 runways, the beauty trends that have emerged, and that we can't wait to show off, are five and are easy to replicate. Let's discover them in detail.

Bold Lips

Finally, the mouth is back to recolor. The concept of the designers, who chose the bold lipstick and dewy skin combo, is precisely to catalyze attention on the part of the body that was disadvantaged more than any other during the pandemic, due to the use of the mask. Triumphing is the classic red lipstick, but the one with a hint of blue inside, in perfect "scuderia" style as Ferrari proposed it. For those with a cold complexion, here are the so-called "blackberry mouths" - that is, lips freshly dyed berry after a binge of berries - are back in the spotlight at Etro, Antonio Marras and Philosophy by Lorenzo Serafini. Finally, the darker side: a metallic purple for Versace and sky blue for DSquared2.

Intergalactic look

Not eyes edged with simple eyeliner or smokey eyes, rather looks that seem to come from another planet. At Gucci and Diesel they were edged with silver and light blue metallic straws, while Vivetta brought out a graphic eyeliner studded with crystals. Prada took us back to the days of the horror movie The Ring, thinking of a contemporary Samara with lashes so long they looked like eye curtains.

Fancy Nails

Pop, reminiscent of the raspberries Amelie used to put on her fingers before eating them all at once, for Vivetta. Mismatched and in strong colors for Philipp Plein. Candy, one different from the other, and an ode to the rainbow, for Marco Rambaldi.

XXL locks & bangs

Hair plays with length, natural or artificial. At Blumarine, for example, they are reminiscent of Christina Aguilera's Y2K hair in the 2000s, complete with braids here and there to embellish the wavy look. At Fendi, maxi bangs parade, paired with scaled-down lengths. While at Etro it's the braids that get longer, Rapunzel-style. All thanks to the skillful use of extensions, which, according to the most up-to-date on Tik Tok, are now the foolproof method for healthy, thick hair.

Knots

There is no shortage of "knots" among the tails. Giorgio Armani's top knot ponytail is beautiful, reinventing the viral Bubble tail. Instead, Moschino tightens the tail at the top, then makes it funny with the plastic pool cup holder instead of the elastic. Already iconic, on messy chignons, Kim Kardashian's knot for Dolce & Gabbana.
