Kendrick Lamar's reinterprets the Reebok Classic Leather

Reebok Classic, famous for his attention towards sports world and lifestyle through the 80s and 90s, once again chooses to collaborate with American rapper Kendrick Lamar, whose focus is that to pick the most popular models from Reebok's archives and make them new. From this venture the Classic Leather Lux in limited edition is born.
The new Classic Leather Lux represents the common thread that binds Kendrick Lamar with his hometown, Compton. This reveals his constant effort to inculcate positive slogans to young people, encouraging them to be detached from rebel bands and promoting peace. The new sneakers’ shows the importance of the message brought by Kendrick, true to its native principles and a real Classic Leather's ambassador.
"Similar to my collaborations with Reebok in the past, I want to create products that provide fans with larger meanings and messages – particularly ones that inspire unity and growth within communities and youth. In Compton, we have a saying that ‘mixing Red and Blue makes Green.’ While ‘green’ is usually thought of in a monetary respect here, this shoe represents a new definition of ‘green’ – community growth. If we work together, we can break down barriers and prosper" the famous rapper revealed.
Classic Leather's structure changes design: it features a total olive green leather upper, which recalls the Compton's way of saying "mixing Red and Blue makes Green". The message behind this slogan refers to Kendrick Lamar pointing to the combination of different factions to stimulate change and integration within the community. The orange-colored outsole creates a curious colour match with the green upper, the Starcrest logo on the tongue remains as it sprouts two different words on the left and right shoe: Blue and Red. An innovative and sophisticated approach.
Available in unisex models and children, the Reebok Classic Leather Lux will be available on reebok.it and at selected stores like SLAM JAM, ONE BLOCK DOWN,PAR 5,SPECIAL, SPECTRUM,HOLYPOP, SUEDE, SNEAKERS 76, HANNIBAL from November 25, 2016.
