What Christmas has in store for us according to the Tarot Tarot card predictions for Dec. 25 and other holidays

Christmas is around the corner, and my goal is not to distract you from the frantic gift-hunting or last-minute deliveries before taking a break. Reconnecting with loved ones, indulging in panettone, strolling through festively lit city centers—I love this time of the year, with the scent of cinnamon and snowmen. In this article, I'd like to offer you a small Card Reading and reveal, through these amusing characters I'll mention, what December has in store for you.

The Temperance

I don't know if you were aware, but Astrology and Cartomancy have many connections, sometimes more hidden and less explicit, other times more visible and clear even to the less experienced. One of these connections is the correspondence between the 22 Triumphs, or Major Arcana, and the 12 Zodiac Signs: each Arcana, due to its characteristics and peculiarities, can be associated with one of the twelve Zodiac signs. It's a kind of affinity. Indeed, the zodiac sign usually associated with the Temperance card is Sagittarius, the fire sign ruling the month of December. In tarot, Temperance is often represented as an angel pouring water from one cup to another: this symbolizes its ability to unite two opposites in a harmonious balance. It's a bit like what Sagittarius does, constantly seeking a way to reconcile its adventurous spirit with the need for stability, a fixed point to rely on. Temperance is the Arcana that represents balance, the search for light (metaphorically speaking), the achievement and pursuit of a kind of inner peace. Sagittarius, with its positive and moderate spirit, is the zodiac sign that best embodies the characteristics of this Arcana. Inner search and spirituality: two common points between these two characters we've been talking about for a while; Temperance, balanced and angelic, and Sagittarius, often seen as a truth seeker or a philosopher of life.

Why is Temperance the Arcana of December?

Because our reading is based precisely on the month of December, and just after last week's new moon, also in Sagittarius. The fact that the Arcana supporting you during this period is Temperance is a pleasant coincidence. Now that these figures are a bit clearer to our eyes, and we have delved into the links that connect them, we can proceed with our reading. As I said at the beginning, Temperance will be the Arcana supporting you during this period. Take a moment of tranquility: if there has been a period of strong emotions, agitation, disturbances, something is calming down, and all the "puzzle pieces" are falling back into place. The holiday season will be a serene time, a time to be with family and to metaphorically arrange everything that this last part of the year has brought out.

The Moon

Funny how an existential theme can emerge from a reading: that of the eternal struggle between good and evil. These are two opposite energies, Temperance and Moon. Positive energy and negative energy. Some of you might start this period with confused ideas, or perhaps you are involved in a strange, unclear situation, there may be doubts or fears. Temperance will help to clarify, to clear this sky obscured by fleeting clouds, to bring order into this confusion. Temperance and Moon I often see as the beginning or the awareness of a kind of small inner journey: there will be obstacles, yes, but it is necessary to remember that with the help of the first supporting Arcana, it will not be difficult to navigate it or, moreover, emerge from it.

The Three of Wands

Third card: Three of Wands. It is difficult, in the universe of Marseille tarot, to find a card with such a positive connotation as the Three of Wands. Desire, curiosity, encounter, happiness; that's what it symbolizes. Towards the end of the month, you will have an impulse, you will feel full of energy, as if there is a kind of awakening of the senses, and I like to associate this idea of awakening a bit with Spring, and a bit with the flowers that arise from the three wands crossed on this card. Let yourself be flooded with the fresh energy of this Minor Arcana. But above all, enjoy this beautiful period that is about to come; the interferences of the negative energies of the Moon Arcana will be swept away by the other two.
