Netflix will produce a documentary on David and Victoria Beckham According to rumours the couple signed a $20.8 million deal to share their story

David and Victoria Beckham have signed a $20.8 million deal with Netflix for a documentary that will start by recounting the footballer's sporting career, from his beginnings in East London to the determination that led him to become one of the most famous athletes of all time, and will continue by talking about his love story with the former Spice Girls, arriving up to the present day. Rumors about the project had already been circulating for a couple of years, but now the confirmation has arrived from those directly involved, who reveal the first details: the director is Oscar-winner Fisher Stevens and the producer is John Battsek with his Venturland in collaboration with Studio 99, the production studio founded by Beckham. The streaming platform also anticipated that England's second most popular family will grant interviews and share personal footage, as will people who were part of the former footballer's journey to success.

According to reports, a television crew is already documenting David's daily life, spent between his commitments with the American team Inter Miami, of which he is the owner, and the various business initiatives and charitable activities. Looking back at his past, however, there will be many archival files, collected from when he was still a kid, such as scraps from old local newspapers, school records and photos of the teams in which he played and, of course, there will also be many family videos made with the camera during the various birthdays, Christmas and special celebrations, as well as images of David and Victoria's first dates. These vintage footages will be alternated with interviews with famous friends such as James Corden or Dave Gardner; former teammates from England, Manchester United and Real Madrid, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Ryan Giggs; but also his sons Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.

Release date of the project has not yet been communicated, but definitely, the hype around the new Netflix docu-series is high and many suppose it could reach the success of The Last Dance, the documentary about Michael Jordan.
