Why the Jade Rollers are the latest skincare trend

An ancient tool to make your skin glow

Why the Jade Rollers are the latest skincare trend An ancient tool to make your skin glow

The beauty industry has always been oriented towards innovation and progress. Over the last few years, though, along with unprecedented progress, it took place also a return to the use of ancient and almost forgotten beauty tools. We're not talking about the '80s or the '90s, but centuries ago. Old methods and tools such as acupuncture needles, gua sha and crystal rolls, dating back to the 17th century, have made a great comeback among the most important beauty experts in the world.

The most interesting novelty to try in the skincare field is definitely the Jade Roller: it's a tool made of a stone handle with two rollers at the ends, both made of smooth crystals, one smaller (for the eye and lips zone) and one bigger (for the rest of the face). Often used along with the gua sha, a therapeutic tool born in China that favours blood flow and natural harness, the Jade Roller is very useful to reduce puffing and to make the skin glow. The result is moreover boosted by the presence of the rock, that being cold, helps to reduce dark circles and bags under the eyes and to make the skin more tonic. Jade is the most used rock, but rollers are available also in rose quartz and amethyst.

It's a really ancient beauty solution, adopted also in ancient times by Chinese empresses and royalties, that today is having a huge comeback, above all on Instagram - celebrities like Alessandra Ambrosio, Meghan Markle, Kim Kardashian and Gwyneth Paltrow have been using it for a long time.

Before purchasing your own Jade Roller it's important to know how to use it. Mornings and evenings, after applying the serum, the cream or the oil, rub the face with the bigger roller while making a slight pressure with circular movements that go from the centre of the face to the outside: from the chin to the neck, from the cheeks to the temples and to the jaw, from the forehead to the hairline, always rolling towards the outside. The smaller roller, on the other hand, must be used to gently rub smaller areas, like the eye contour, the lips and the nose.

Below you will find three Jade Rollers worth investing in for glowing and fresh skin.
