Gucci dedicates a film retrospective to Harmony Korine During the MFW at the Gucci Hub

Alessandro Michele's esteem for the creative genius of Harmony Korine is so great that Gucci's Creative Director has chosen the artist, director and screenwriter as the photographer of the Pre-Fall 2019 collection (later to become an art book) and for the Men's Tailoring Pre-Fall 2019 campaign starring Harry Styles.

Now the Tuscan brand has decided to continue celebrating the work of the talented American artist with a film retrospective that will take place during Milan Men's Fashion Week at the Gucci Hub. From June 13-16, a movie theatre set up for the occasion with red velvet curtains, armchairs, sofas and theatre lighting will become the perfect location to see 10 films directed by Korine.

It starts with Gummo, his directorial debut in 1997 and underground cult, which tells the story of a group of survivors of a tornado in the city of Xenia in Ohio. As in the film Kids, also written by Harmony, the protagonist is Chloë Sevigny surrounded by non-professional actors. The festival will continue with the experimental drama Julien Donkey-Boy; the 2007 comedy Mister Lonely; 2009 comedy film Trash Humpers, which will be introduced on Sunday 16th by the director himself.

Harmony Korine-The Crack-Up's program also includes an eclectic series of films made by other directors and chosen by Korine. Screenings are open to the public until seats last, subject to registration on harmony.gucci.com
