Most searched for brands in the first quarter of 2019 The ranking of the 20 most desired brands in over 12 thousand boutiques and online stores according to Lyst

The online search engine Lyst, a leader in the fashion world, today launched a new section called "Index", which will publish quarterly reports in the form of rankings, which will trace the habits and searches of users on the web.

The first report published refers to the quarter January-March 2019 and reveals the 20 most desired brands by 5 million users in over 12,000 boutiques and online stores. The algorithm has also developed social activities related to brands, such as the growth of followers on official profiles, positive and negative mentions and feelings.

The last place in the ranking is occupied by Alexander McQueen, also thanks to the dress worn by Lady Gaga at the night of the Oscars, surprisingly preceded by adidas, surprisingly distant from the top positions. As you move up the ranks, streetwear is alternate and other high fashion brands, such as Balmain, Givenchy, and Burberry, are just below the eleventh place occupied by Nike. The activities of the swoosh in this quarter were not particularly significant, with the exception of the launch of all the kits for the Women's World Cup. Another surprise in the standings is the incredible growth (19%) of the brand Moncler , relaunched by the Genius project, previewed during the last Milan Design Week.

The top ten on the list opens with Saint Laurent, growing after its collaboration with Travis Scott, followed surprisingly by Vetements, who despite a clear crisis of identity still manages to meet the taste of many customers. Versace and Stone Island occupy the following positions in a Made in Italy trio composed of Prada, Fendi and Valentino, respectively in sixth, fifth and fourth position.

The lowest step on the podium is occupied by Balenciaga, which in this quarter has focused heavily on sustainability and has opened a new store in London. Second position for Gucci, who has been at the top of the fashion addicted charts for some years now, thanks to the refined taste of his creative director Alessandro Michele.

In the first place could only be Virgil Abloh with Off-White, thanks to his intense social activity and collaborations with artists and streetwear brands.
